I agree with the characters, the exception being Yuna. I really enjoyed the development they gave to her - her attitudes and motivations following a two year calm. Her narrations were rather heartfelt as well. Unfortunately, I never cared too much about Rikku or Paine as anything more than background voices (although their in battle banter is amusing).

Very true. I do like the whole part with Lenne and Yushin(?). Very cool, and Vegnagun was also a great idea. Rikku and Paine aren't well developed, and I guess I was more referring to that. As strange as this sounds, I miss Tidus, Auron, Wakka, Kimahri, Lulu, and Rikku (the Rikku from X).

Once you get to the end, the storylines will wrap themselves up nicely but they're nowhere near as satisfying (or heartbreaking) as they were in FFX. On the plus side, the soundtrack was good enough for me to pick up on CD

I kind of figured that would happen. I'm still hoping that Tidus didn't disappear or whatever happened to him.

The soundtrack is interesting, and very fitting for a "female" RPG, but it pales in comparison with X's soundtrack. I like it still, but X's soundtrack was phenomenonal for a video game.

My problem, is that I have that accessory for the gunner that allows the gun thingy mabob to do 9999 damage each hit, but she is fully healed so it won't work. By the time I get her hurt enough to use it, the boss kills me quick.

If you still have a game saved, get Yuna in yellow health on level 79, then go into level 80 with her already in yellow. Always save on levels before a boss fight (hint - save on level 98) to allow you to enter a boss fight in yellow.

Equip Yuna with the garment grid Highroad Winds to give her first strike. I had Paine and Rikku as Dark Knights with the Valiant Lustre garment grid to get them both at 9999 HP and have them act as babysitters for Yuna during a fight. Even with this I still got my ass whooped for a few days but hope it helps.

Thanks for the help! I'll try it to tonight after my 4:40 class.

Dungeon Siege is pretty good too. Open system with very good graphics. No loading of screens or anything like that. Also, as you play the game, you decide what type of character you become by the actions you make.

It's a pretty cool game.

Designation: Rocket Propelled Grenade / RPG-7
Manufacturer: Various; Mostly Soviet State Factories; Also Chinese variants
Type: Single-Shot Grenade Launcher
Origin: Soviet Union
Operation: Shoulder-mounted single-shot weapon
Caliber: Various
Weight: Roughly 10 lbs but varies by design; Grenade is 5lbs
Magazine: Single Shot
Rate of Fire: Not applicable
Notes: The Rocket Propelled Grenade, or RPG, is a cheap, single-shot weapon. It's main purpose to to provide an inexpensive albeit devastating weapon against soft targets. The Rocket Propelled Grenade come in many flavors and are in export to various Middle East and Southeast Asian countries.

The rocket propelled grenade, or RPG, was used extensively by the Vietcong in the Vietnam War and the Afghanistan war during the Soviet occupation. It is an inexpensive weapon to produce and just about anyone would be able to operate it with very little training. It's not surprising how it has found itself a niche among smaller armies and poorer countries of the world.

It can currently be found through Iraq, as Saddam Hussein loyalists are using the Rocket Propelled Grenade against U.S. military and humanitarian convoys in the cities throughout Iraq.

I just purchased:

Morrowind: Elder Scrolls III Game of the Year Edition

For XBox. Pretty cool game. I think it's available on PC as well. The idea of the game, is that you get to do what you WANT! The story isn't linear, and you can basically steal, kill, or do good, the choice is yours.

I also saw more info on FFXI for PS2. It costs $100 bucks! But you do get a PS2 hard drive for it....Squaresoft is promoting it as: Buy hard drive, get FFXI free.

I'd buy Baldur's gate II for my money... I think it has the best plot/storyline... Neverwinter night has better graphics I guess/3d but the character development isn't near as good and you only get to have one guy in your party plus a brainless henchmen instead of six players with really different personalites and great conversation...

I bought Elder Scroll III and I never got into it much, it was just too nonlinear to me. I like something with a good plot and good character interaction, along with some strategy...

I agree, but I've really taken a liking to the nonlinear nature of Morrowind. I run around robbing everybody, killing guards, and paying the Thieves Guild to pay off the ransom on my head.

The plot is determined by what you do.

The best plot of any game ever (and mdamien will back me up on this) is Final Fantasy X. It is also has the best original soundtrack, and the best character development I've ever seen. The problem with it, if you could call it a problem, is that it's very linear, almost like a movie.

RPG's?:D

Let's see...there's Knights of the Old Republic, Baldur's Gate I, II, and Throne of Bhaal, Neverwinter Nights (and its expansion packs, Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark), Planescape: Torment, Morrowind, etc.

Quite a lot of good, cheap, high-quality RPGs out there for you.

Best RPG? Baldur's Gate series. You could probably buy both out there for $15 or $20 each (in their value packs, which have all of the things you need).
