I am intrigued to see how things play out for him on the football field. But not in cardinal red. And there is no indication that anyone associated with the team including 98% of the fan base wants anything to do with him either.

He's only 29. It's not as if he was at the end of his career and then came back. He may not be what he was, but even at 85% of what he was, he'll be special.

That's not to say I want him here, only that I still think he'll be a force to reckon as a situational offensive player--and possibly one of the games best backup QBs. A QB that can run like that is a game-changer--especially when he's not the focus of the offense like he was when he was a starter.

I didn't say he can't be good I was agreeing that he won't be the same as he was.
It doesn't matter that he's 29, 3 years with no football contact or conditioning will take a toll. And again, not that he may or may not be good just that he won't be AS good

Pariah. I think you are the most logical poster on this board and 99% of the time agree with you.

But he was not only out for 3 years. He was in FEDERAL PRISON. Lets just say there is no nutrition plan or sophisticated workout regimes available.

He will NEVER be a starting NFL QB again. That I can assure you. He didn't have much timing (or intelligence) in the first place and that doesn't get any better with 3 years in jail.

His only saving grace is that that he was one of the best athletes of our lifetime. So even if he is playing at 70% of his former capacity (which is disgustingly optmistic) he could still be a force on designed runs or the occasional Wildcat play.

But I wouldn't bet on it.

as much as i'd like to see him here because of the countless options we could do with him.....i don't think he would be cheap, someone is gonna call him to try out and they will see he is still one of the top players in the nfl

Leinart still has more talent (throwing the football) in his left pinkie than Vick has in his whole left arm. Just remember the phrase that Jaws uses countless times on TV...Points come in the passing game. Vick doesn't offer any team that opportunity.
