Since our number included the rookie money we're going to have to spend, I assume thats the way it is for all teams... these two are _really_ hurting aren't they?

They not only need to shave 10 and 17 million, they realistically need to free up another 7-8 million for rookies. I have to think they'd be looking for trades that get them picks in future years for picks now... and/or dump a couple salary players for future considerations.

Worse than that actually. The rookie pool is between $4.5M and $6M depending on the number of draft picks and were you draft. Then you have to tender your restricted free agents and sign your unrestricted free agents.

Tennesse has to slice $17M just to get under the cap. Then find $8M for restricted free agents and rookies and finally find aditional room to sign their free agents, which include Jevon Kearse and Erron Kinney.

Define good! I'd say mostly overrated and over priced. Sure Coles was a good pick up but they had to give up a 1st rd pick for him.

Still it's amazing the can keep throwing monopoly money around like they do.

I wonder if they offer sky-high salaries but modest bonuses. That would mean that you can cut players without having too much of an impact on your cap.

You can push the cap hits in front of you for a couple of year, but it's starting to catch up with the Redskins now. Remember that they had to cut their two starting DTs last year to clear room. There are rumors that they don't have enough cap room to re-sign Champ Bailey this year.
