Overthecap.com shows we have about $15m in cap space and can free up $4.5m more by cutting D.wash after June 1 for $19.5m in space. The way it looks to me is that while $20m is a nice amount of space, the really good news is that we don't have any big name FA of our own to re-sign.

Just how much can this team afford to do in FA?

We'll grow that more by extending/reworking Campbell and Floyd. I also expect the cap to go up a bit.

Can also rework Carson's contract and push more money to the voided year of the deal (2018).

One thing to consider is that Honey Badger will be signing a massive contract this season.

I forgot about honey badger. It sounds like even after re-signing honey badger we could have around $20m to play with.

Hopefully enough to POACH Trumaine Johnson or Janoris Jenkins from the Rams.. get a pass rusher like Olivier Vernon or (DREAM) Von Miller then draft the best draft class ever.

Hiiiighhhh hopes.. I've got... highhhhh hopes..

wow. So it sounds to me that we have the ability to make some really big moves?

We have several other guys to resign too. I think BA will want Stanton back. But I can see us doing a few FA deals with maybe one or two big ones like Veldheer and Iupati.

We are in much, much better shape and with more avenues to create room then we were last off-season.

I hope we can get a long term deal done with Tyrann. Sign a playmaker at either DE, OLB or ILB. Then sign a low price vet at CB and OG/OC. Then use most of our draft on the defensive side.

We need additions on the OL, too. I see only two players as locks to return to start there.

Doubt it. The team is going to put Cooper and Humphries out on the right side. The only question is who'll play center. If resources dry up, I could see Arians sticking with Shipley.

Is Trumaine Johnson the son of the Arizona Wranglers WR of the same name? I tried wiki and can't find anything.

cap is supposed to take a huge jump this off season as well...we should be in great shape to be competitive for whomever we may want to go after.

We'll struggle to make the playoffs, IMO, if that's the case. Cooper I could at least give a last shot to. Humphries isn't even on the table yet, IMO--I think he needs to actually be active first. Shipley looked good in a spot start, but can it last? And I was a Shipley supporter long ago from the Penn State connection.

With an aging/old QB that needs to be kept upright, in an offense where we use minimal protection, we CANNOT shortchange the OL.

The Saints just released G Jahri Evans. Not sure if he is worth a look but he started 10 seasons for them and is 32 years old.

The Falcons released SS William Moore. He may add something to the team. Looked like he had solid seasons with the Falcons.

Hopefully the center position can be addressed in the draft. I will be very disappointed if we go into next season with Shipley or Larsen. I think we also need to bring in another OT that is able to handle playing on the left side in a pinch. Sowell is not an adequate back up for Veldeer in my opinion.

They're gonna have to deal with Fitz as well, no? There is no way he is retiring after the 2016 season and I can't imagine he and the team will allow him to remain a lame duck going into the season...

Defense wins championships our offense can make it work has to that's why we pay them the big bucks.

Signing Miller would be huge but no way they let him go.

Tamba Hali is going to be a FA I think and he's older which fits what we're going to do. I say keep our draft picks, sign Tamba and maybe another FA Middle LB'er and spend all your top 3 picks on defense.

We could use a corner.

FA will tell us what we need to draft there is a short window here we only have about 2 years max, has to be now.
