To me the next big dot on the time-line is to see what happens now in regards to whom does and whom doesn't get contracts offered or tenders made prior to free agency day.
This could be the next indication of what direction some things may be headed. I think it should be interesting.
The UFA's:
Starkey
Dishman
Ransom
Barrett
McDaniel
Lucas
The RFA's:
Kasper
Grammatica
Bell
Hill
Wilson
I think there's a couple of tough choices there. Right now, if it was up to me, I'd probably say:
Starkey- Gone
Dishman- I would lean towards offering him one. I think he's a decent backup. This will be one of the interesting ones to watch.
Ransom - I would sign him, as long as its no big contract or huge bonus, and at least get him to training camp.
Barrett - Good bye...soooorryy...no contractee...go get Martay rich.
McDaniel - nah. let's wait and see, I don't think there's too much danger of someone snatching him up right away.
Lucas - another tough one, especially since there doesn't seem to be any clue at all yet what direction the team is going to go wit the secondary. Like McDaniel, I suppose I'd leave him hanging for awhile.
The RFA's:
Kasper - Too many "numbers" against him. Tough, but I just don't see it, even with the personnel we already have.
Grammatica - Another interesting one. Personally I'd let him walk and just go with Rackers.
I'd make tender to Bell. I'd have to review the "rules" before saying saying how big of one.
Same with Hill and Wilson.
