The Cardinals defense has lost its identity and swagger. Coach Whisenhunt loves running the 3-4 defense. DC Rob Ryan made the Cleveland Browns defense pretty good (13th in the NFL this year) and they dont have half the talent the Cardinals defense has. Rob Ryan loves running the 3-4 and immediately would restore the "swagger" in the Cardinals defense. This hire makes "too much" sense not to happen.

Lets bring Rob Ryan home to where his NFL coaching career began.

Go Cardinals!

The Ryans hate us. Not going to happen.

Also Rob Ryan and Pitt's Secondary coach have become Dallas top targets after they to lost out on Manusky.

i dont know why people keep bringing up the ryans, have you not been a fan of this team for long? The cardinals and Buddy Ryan treated each other horribly and the entire family probably hates the team for it. I fully expect that Ryan would laugh at an interview request.

I always thought the same thing, but I remember an interview Buddy Ryan gave during the Cardinals run to the Super Bowl and he seemed to have a real fondness for Bidwill Sr. I'm not sure what Rex and Rob think about the Cardinals, but the dad seemed to appreciate Mr. Bidwill.

I saw that interview too. Actually the Bidwills and Ryans are still very good friends. Buddy was coach "16" years ago and Michael Bidwill was not running the team then. Buddy appreciated the head coaching opportunity the Bidwills gave him especially since he was blackballed around the NFL after the "punching of Kevin Gilbride" incident.

The current Cardinals management team knows what it takes to build a winner and if Rob Ryan doesnt sign with Dallas I could see him then appearing on the Cardinals radar.
