Pretty tough opening few weeks

open on the road, home opener against Seattle -- then travel to Baltimore, home against Pitt --

It gets better from there on out, and finishing with two at home is good

Agreed starts off very tough but if we're in contention after 8 games the 2nd half at least NOW looks much easier.

Is there an NFL rule that we have to play Denver in the last game of the preseason every year?

I wish we had the bye before one of the tougher games like Baltimore or New Orleans. If we are anywhere near playoff-worthy then we could beat the Bucs on two days rest.

The only problem is that there's a definite possibility that Arizona can start 1-4, 2-5, which would effectively end the season early.

That's what worries me as well...even if they play well but lose close games (like last year)the season could unravel very quickly. They need to be .500 going into the bye..

I'll be there for either Pittsburgh or Carolina. And I'll be seeing them at FedEx against the Skins.

It's the hawks year to win in AZ & I'll be there to watch

if it's any solace they put it in Sept so the huge crew of hawk fans rolling into town will be sweating

Awesome! Much better than last year's schedule where they were away each of the week's I was in Phoenix, including the time they were 20 minutes from my home when I was Arizona bound.

This year, I should be able to see the Thanksgiving game, the Christmas games, and the opening week game in SF.

I like the sked:

- We alternate home and away games until the latter part of the season.

- We play our division opponents once fairly early and then again fairly late.

- The Bye Week comes in the middle of the season

- We have six "early" games on Sunday - which, for us Easterners means that there are fewer games that run smack thru the dinner hour (forcing us to watch the second half later on TIVO).

- Only possibility of snow would be Cincy in mid-Nov.

Only things to get cranky over are (a) Detroit (again!!!), (b)Team Felon appearing on seven nationally televised games (gimme a break!) and (c) short prep week disadvantage prior to what looms as a huge division game with Seattle in Week 2.

I never get too worked up about strength of schedule or individual opponents (Be careful what you wish for).

Agree. The 1 win depends on being able to win on the road at Washington. It could be 0-8

its always possible

There are six teams on the first half schedule where you just dont know what you are going to get:

Sf on Monday night: SF should be better, the Cards should be better -- but AZ beat them twice last year (and twice the year before). Who knows.

Seattle at home: Seahawks didnt exactly impress the last half of the 2006season-- even when healthy. Teams ran on them in 2006, and I dont think P Kearney is the answer for that.

Pittsburgh at home: I dont know if Pitt is good or bad or in between this year.

Rams on the road: Last two years, the Cardinals lost (gave away) their home games vs the Rams and spanked them pretty good in St. Louis.

Carolina at home: Roster like tarzan, they play like Jane quite often.

Washington on the road: Certainly looks winnable, but its one of those east coast, three time zones different road games.

Very tough 8 to begin with. Lets hope we go .500. After that we have a good chance at a run for the playoffs.

An excellent schedule for the Cards. I like the final two at home. You can never predict how teams will do from one year to the next with the so called process of parity. If the Cards can get off to a good start they certainly can be a playoff contender.
