The Vortex!
The Bucs are a mess, players against coach, coach against players. Unfortunately this makes for a very desperate team.
Do they fold or step up?
The same question could be asked of the Cards defense. Devastated after last week, does Bowles and the D step up or fold.
We all know what happened the last time the Cards spent the week back east.
Different regime, do we see different results?

Cards in a close squeaker!

Cards barely beat Seattle at home last year who had a rookie qb that hadn't ever taken a snap under center.... at home no less. I ain't expecting miracles.

This game will be very telling of this team and season. Dont count your chickens, but realistically we should dominate them.

Should is the key here.

Bucs are about as internally conflicted as any team can ever be. Itll be a travesty if this game is even close.

27-10 cards

Ill assume thats a joke

that rookie is better than Carson will ever be/has been in his career

Not sure how to look at this one. For a minute it looked like a sure road loss but with the Bucs in disarray, could be a good day for the Cards. Or it could look like last year's Jets game.

You're selling the "has been" Carson short. Prior to his injury he was one of the better QB's in the game and he appeared poised to become a regular in the annual MVP discussion. Wilson is good and getting better but Palmer was there once too.

I've often wondered just how good he would have been if it hadn't been for the cheap shot by Pittsburgh and it was a cheap shot. von Oelhoffen went directly at Palmer. Cincinnati was the better team and being dirty is what Pittsburgh does. That injury set Cincy back a lot of years.

I don't think it was intentional by looking at it now.

I agree and Cincy is only now recovering from it. That's exactly why the league started upping the ante when it came to protecting QB's. If it had happened today Kimo would have been hit hard for that cheap shot. I don't know if he had some animosity towards Cincy from his days as a Bengal but I don't think he would have crossed paths with Palmer. I'm pretty sure Carson came into the league a few years after KVO left town. Anyway, the Palmer we see today is a shell of the player he was before that hit.

I think they know exactly what they're doing when they take a QB down that way. Maybe he couldn't have done anything else once he went to the ground but I'm sure he'd be fined heavily for that move today. It's been awhile since I've watched it so maybe I'll change my tune after I check it out.

This roster is weak. Real weak. The only hope was that Palmer would produce but instead he's decided to do a John Skelton imitation.

Tampa 27 Cards 10.

Tampa is reeling internally. Starting a rookie QB in his first game. Looks like they won't have their WR's for this game. Lost 8 of their last 9 games.

I think our defense is enough to get us a low scoring win in a game that rivals the ineptitude we saw in last years Jets game.

AZ 13 - TB 6.

Go Cards.

Who was it that used to post either here or on Cards Corner that Arizona was the "get well" team for the rest of the NFL. No matter how poorly a team was doing they'd have a great game vs the Cards. Or maybe it was just underachieving teams.

Anyway. Being a St.Louis and Arizona Cardinals fan this time of year is always fun.

St.Louis Cardinals Division Champs. Arizona Cardinals Division Chumps.

'08-'09 Back to Back NFC West Division Titles. First team to lose the SB and get back to the playoffs the next season in years. What great times. What the heck happened?

Baseball Cardinals have a solid shot at home field advantage in playoffs if they can beat up on the Cubbies. Football Cardinals have a solid shot at another top-team draft pick if they don't beat TB.
