A little nugget that might bring a chuckle: I was working the media entrance before the Bengals game when this tall, young, fit male approached me. He said in a really soft voice "um, excuse me, I'm one of the players in the game and I forgot my parking pass. If I walk around the stadium will that lead me to the locker room?"

I told him it sure would, and pointed him in the right direction. So off he went. I thought "welcome to the NFL rookie."

It was Dan Buckner. Poor kid.

Sad. Meet the kid back here in Dallas about 3 months ago at a close friends wedding. When my buddy introduced us & told him I was the biggest Cards fans ever, he talked my ear off. He even asked for my number to txt back & forth several times. We even have the same nickname.

I was rooting for him but that's the life of the NFL. Maybe Buck will be fortunate enough to get back on the PS like last year!!!

Buckner is such a great kid. He really is. Injuries his last year at Arizona really prevented him from getting to the next level, and frankly he hasn't gotten enough experience in the NFL to make the jump. He has the physical tools to do it. Hopefully he will get to the next level some day, he's about as solid as they come.

910 reporting that Curtis Taylor was released also, but I don't do twitter so I haven't seen confirmation. Foregone conclusion anyway with the broken arm last night.

Curtis Taylor did not break his arm. He reportedly suffered a hematoma.

This is a real surprise to me. I saw nothing from Williams in preseason games and I really like McCann. Is he hurt?

Can't figure out why they would cut Bernard and keep L. Alexander. Bernard seems a lot better.
