We're just not anywhere close to being ready for prime time... Way too much inconsistency. Tonight our starting pitching was solid but no offense. 2016 is where it's at...

Headed to the game again tonight. I'm a glutton for punishment I guess.

At least you can basically sit wherever you'd like. The crowds are so small that the ushers do not even care.

Everyone was talking about Goldy winning the NL Triple Crown award. Too much pressure on him.

Rarely will you find any local natives from AZ.

They all moved from the East coast and central part of the US to AZ. They also brought their fanbases with them.

I don't want to seem like a complainer on here, and try not to, but my really only questioning of moves so far, is why is Godley not up here? From the times I saw him pitch on tv, he was the best pitcher we had. Someone who put the numbers up that he did, although it is only a relatively short time frame, should be up here until he is no longer producing. MY OPINION ONLY. Oh, well.:-!

While we all appreciate your efforts to be polite, really, it's refreshing, but I just don't understand why you constantly categorize anything that is not "rah rah were the best" as "complaining." The whole point of this forum is to talk baseball with other knowledgeable baseball fans and when you do that it's not all going to be positive all the time and there is nothing wrong with that! Just my opinion.

To answer your question per TLR; Godley was shutdown because he reached his maximum number of innings for the year, (he pitched a TON in the minors) so he will be used in emergency bullpen situations only and won't be called up again till next year.

I'm a local and a native :). And as a local and a native I still find that a bit of a cop out. If I moved to another state, I would always be a Dbacks fan, but I would also go to some local games and root on the local teams because that would be my new home! So many of our transplants have been here for years even decades! I don't care about the cardinals fans it's cool they have a great base, just talking about the almost total lack of support of this team from all locals native or not. :). But alas it is what it is, that doesn't mean we can't point it out once in a while. [emoji3]. It's just a shame cuz this is a decent team with a ton of potential and this was an important series and,,,, nobody cares! (Present company excluded ofcourse) [emoji171]

TLR holds his cards close to his chest. Quoting "venomstrikes"?, please. The fact remains he only pitched 94.2 innings in the minors.

I get it I was just wanted you to know that I didn't simply make that up, that's just what he said, because I was glad they asked him because obviously I wondered why Godley got sent down too. That was his answer. I quoted them to show that I'm not the only person in the world who heard the line the Dbacks are selling about the issue.

Fair enough. I was in management for 35 years and can see through "management-speak". Never questioned what you heard, just don't always buy what they are selling.

Fwiw, I was more than satisfied with the response from the crowd after Goldy crushes that 480 foot bomb! [emoji106]

That was awesome. The Dbacks fans that come to the games are good fans. Just wish there were more of us. :)

Sure hope the Dbacks can salvage tonights game. I can see them sweep the A's and take 3 of 4 from the Rockies to put them back in the race again

That was probably the furthest HR at Chase Field since Sexton. I remember Upton hitting one to Fatburger off Chris Carpenter.

Well... if we're ever gonna make any type of a run, this would be it as the Dodgers have a hellacious schedule the rest of the way. When we're playing the A's and Rockies, the Dodgers are playing the Cubs and Giants. It's now or never...

Man our starting pitching has simply killed us this year. Ruby has 11 wins. The god-awful Hellickson has 9. Chase has 6... And that's basically it from our starters!!

Damn miracle we remain this close to .500!
