Maybe a D.

Replacing Leonard Davis with his little brother is infuriating.

Giving up a pick for a player that A) We didn't need, and B) Would have been there anyway is infuriating.

Leinart is a dead man walking. Stop with all of the "Grimm is the greatest O-line coach ever" stuff. He's not that good. Loney was better last year with less talent and our O-line is worse now than it was at the end of the season.

Edge is a boring stop-gap whose best days are LONG behind him. 19 freaking yards for a season long. My mother could run for more than 19 yards in over 400 attempts.

In 5 years we'll see who has more Pro Bowls: I'll bet AP has more than Brown, Branch, and Buster COMBINED.

Terrible first day. Terrible.

I don't think TE was much of a need...I like Pope, he just hasn't had much of a chance but maybe Whisenhunt will use the TE more this year than Green did.

I voted B. They didn't do anything spectacular, but they filled their needs with quality players so I'm happy with this draft.

TE is most definitely a need. You need 3 of them, and we have Pope and...Beuhler, Beuhler. Whiz especially likes to run two TE sets. Sooooo...?

Okay then, but I'd still rather improve the defense right now and get the right players here for the 3-4 they are doing this year. So I'm fine with the players we got so far. Any more FA's out there or are we finished with that?

I went with a B ...

I do like the picks better this morning after sleeping on it ... 3 potential starters is hard to beat ..

I gave it a "B".

We lost the chance for an "A" by painting ourselves into a corner at LT before free agency even started. That said, I expect Brown to, at least, be servicable.

I liked getting Branch in rd. 2, although losing a 4th rounder stings a little. I love the Buster Davis pick. He was my favorite MLB in this draft and an essential tackle machine we needed to add to work in the 3-4.

I gave them an A because they addressed the needs with the BPA available in every round. They have received plaudits from local Chicago radio and the morning early on NFL network. They have a plan and are filling holes. What is very pleasing to me is the voting. Hurray for those who parked their emotions at the door and look at it objectively. How would you like to be Cam Cameron talking to the Dolphin media and fans on why they took Ginn and passed on Quinn. His line that he knows the family really made me laugh. I also believe he said he "drafted" the family. Spin control 24/7

Being ever the optimist, I gave the Cardinals an A. As complicated as we sometimes make football out to be.

Best post of the weekend. Not only because I have preached this forever, but you supported your point of view very well. The only thing I would add is get to the QB. The game is stopping the run and running the ball. EVERYTHING ELSE FALLS INTO PLACE!!

Branch was destroyed by the peanut gallery includng me as a first round pick, but as a second round choice he is aces. KW apparantly is not fooling around. He wants big powerful "fast" (for their position) players. The game is
a speed game and that is the major difference between the NFL and college ball. Everyone is fast up there. Take a look at some of the highlights of Branch ( I didn't until they took him) he is very fast for a big man and he has excellent vertical speed from sideline to sideline.

We actually might have something to look forward to in 07!

I gave it a C. Why? Hangover. It wasn't a bad first day. It certainly wasn't as good as last year's day one. I guess that I get so jacked up for Draft Day that I wanted to be amazed. It was pretty obvious that nobody wanted to trade up with us seeing how far Peterson and Quinn fell. All I care about, and so do all of you, is that these picks pay off and we win.
