Vance never spoke out, Vance never pulled KK aside, Vance never went to bat for KK and Vance and KK did not seem to we've work together. Vance, IMHO, failed.
Part of the speculation is that he needs to get out of Reid's shadow if he wants a HC position. Showing he can do some stuff without Kyler for a time, and with him would certainly help his case.

This is who I see it. Vance was hired to help KK, that as public knowledge. He failed IMHO.
Also, we never saw it once. Not even in Hard Knocks. How many HK scenes did they even have together?
Well he's had Mahomes as an OC since 2018, where are all these jobs coming from? Usually they get poached with the "success" he's had, especially the best offense and the best QB since that time, and even working with likes of Hunt and Charles as RB coach before that.
Either he's not getting offers or he likes his cushy gig at whatever capacity and may not desire to move out and find his own success. Teams that typically have openings are not championship type teams, he's gotta downgrade at some point.

This is probably the most damaging part of all of this. Even if Vance is kept, they still have to bring in an entirely new staff.
I mean at this point, just let Vance go. Only creates more problems keeping him now.

Might sound off if VJ sees himself as a DC or even a head coach which he probably rightfully so expects at this point, but could it be he is being held to hold a different position to fill out the defensive staff like secondary or LB coach

VJ was like the maverick of wingmen. He did KK no favors. At the very least get the defense to be playing decent and he couldn't even do that.

I think there are several explanations for this. One is that Kyler was injured for basically all of HK. Two is that I think Kliff and Kyler's relationship had deteriorated to the point that it was less useful to have Kliff in the QB room than managing elsewhere. Three is that Kliff I think decided that he needed to be less hands-on with the offense and let people do their work so that he could do Head Coach Stuff.
Hard Knock is about building narratives. Jared Goff said on Slow News Day that the only request he had for them last training camp was for them to stay out of the QB room; a request they respected. Maybe they were told not to film Kyler and Kliff.
I'm sure Vance has contacts all over the NFL and can easily bring in a new staff of defensive assistants. These guys don't need to be chess champions; position coaches are usually focused on teaching and fundamentals.

I have no problem with you having an opinion, but the support seems rather flimsy, given the lack of firm evidence.
