Feels like Reid and McVay are known for being unique, motion, getting everyone involved, etc.

Motion isn't unique or creative. It's common NFL concept. The only quirky thing about mcVay is they run a bunch of different play types out of similar sets to make it more difficult to know whats coming. But that also is not unique.

FYI some rank Reich offense. Seems pretty creative to me.

I think he is a better option than Vance and Flores because of his better ability to fix Murray.

If you listen/read to his post Colts interviews, he talks about handling the turnover in coaching staff that comes with success and how he has learned to handle it and its impact on personality choices when adding to his staff. This is the kind of self scouting I like to see when we hire experienced head coaches, versus the boilerplate garbage.

Also interesting that Fangio is interviewing for DC in Atlanta

Reich would be foolish to walk into a situation with another franchise QB with real health issues.

I'd be ok with him, but I dont think we are his first option.

Yep. Unfortunately, Kliff had a peanut allergy reaction to motion.

If the Cards are indeed out of the Payton sweepstakes then we need to ramp up the timeline on our search so that we can get who we want while the other teams are waiting around for Payton’s decision. It will also give the new coach a jump on putting their staff together.

Possibly waiting for Ryans? Not sure if there's a legitimate chance though.

Hard to win consistently, when you have a different QB, or 3, every single year. It's like the anti-Alex Smith, when he had like 6 OC's in his 1s 6 years...lol
same thing happened to derrick carr... something like 8 OC;s in 9 years
hard for a guy to get solid in that situation

That dude did more with less than a hell of a lot of coaches could in this league.

I’m actually starting to really warm up to this idea and hoping it happens (mostly because Payton is a long shot). He’s got HC experience, has a Super Bowl ring as OC, has won and been around winning franchises his entire career all the way back to Buffalo.

We could (and probably will) do a lot worse than Reich.

Or look at it another way. Reich is good at getting results out of backup level QBs.

7-8 with Brissett in '19.
11-5 with the corpse of Rivers in' 20.
9-8 with Wentz in '21

That's some dog crap. Have to think he can keep us competitive until Kyler returns.

And he wanted to keep Wentz this year, to have some continuity, but Irsay said GTFOH about that and brought in Matt Ryan. They could have done better, IMO, keeping Wentz.
