So, if you know this to be true, why lend any credence to the media? Eff them. We know theyre full of it anyhow. "If hed get out there and be likeable, the media would [play nicer!" WHO CAAAAAAAAAAAARES?????? Meme me @kerouac9 !!!!

This is silly. The media is the medium for Kyler to tell his story. The media isn't attacking him.

These guys are all ex players and current coaches. Kyler disregarding his responsibilty to represent himself and the Cardinals through the media allows stories like this to become fact.

What other player in the league, especially a Quarterback, would allow "He doesn't study" to become an established narrative without correcting the record? Even if it's true you lie, you don't allow your reputation to become "He's the QB that doesn't study and just plays COD". He's let himself become a laughing stock. A meme.

This is only one example. I've seen 50 more similar to this clip below in the past 7 months. Yet not once has Kyler spoken out about it. He could easily go on a dozen NFL shows and easily correct this as part of a wider interview. It's gross negligence for him to allow this story to fester.

To be fair the Jones > Kyler guys are also the ones who honestly thought we should bench Kyler for Colt McCoy so at least they’re being consistent.
Oh, he needed benched. Not because Colt is better, but because Kyler clearly wasn't clicking and clearly wasn't going to without some kind of change. My opinion is his sense of entitlement was getting in the way.

People seem to be struggling with the concept that McCoy isn't better than Kyler, but that Kyler was playing so poorly that a mediocre QB (McCoy) playing in rhythm was a better option.

You're right about one thing. In the imaginary world of Kyler playing 17 games he throws for 4600 yards 2021. Maybe even more if we imagine world where he has his #1 wr playing as well.

Again this feels like a different argument. It was in regard to his arm. And his ARM is great enough. His BODY just has to be on the field.
It was until last year, when his arm was anemic. Why? It's a mystery. Prior to last season, I would've never bagged on his arm. It's a concern, and concerning we don't even know what happened.

I like how the narrative has changed to Murray being the problem. He is a problem but the main problem is working with Bidwill. Let’s not forget that.

Why?

Why specifically is he any worse than Khan, Brown, Haslam, Spanos, Snyder, the McNairs, the Johnson Brothers, Mark Davis, Irsay, Stephen Ross etc?

Ross is a humoungous A hole that spent months trying to trade for Watson to dump Tua. It didn't stop McDaniel or Fangio going there.

Mark Davis looks like someone cut the head off a Chuckie doll and boiled it in a bag for 3 hours. He's been one of the worst owners for a decade but had no trouble attracting Gruden or McDaniels.

The Johnson brothers had an 11 year playoff droubt and disaster after disaster at HC and GM. It didn't stop them getting Joe Douglas then Robert Salah.

All these owners are huge tool bags for one reason or another, and many more besides. The "Coaches/GM's don't want to come here because of Mike" is a massive crock of crap.

That is all glitter an rainbows scenario building.

All KM needs to do, is come back, play good football, and watch the stink wash away. Its the nature of media cycles. Those who come out and fight hard against a narrative being fostered by a bunch of "professionals" whose, oftentimes by no fault of their own, salaries are click reliant meed the muck to fling, because we as a media consuming public have shown little ability at critical thought, and only want stories that give us something to point our fingers and laugh at, the focus of the microscope usually tightens even further. Just look at our stupid a$$ last president. Just ignore every criticism, and the clickbait media moves along, and the public forgets.

Screw what the media says. JUST PLAY GOOD FOOTBALL. Thats all we should be discussing. How to get him there. Funny media talking head zingers dont matter. NOTHING else matters.

I think many agree with you that Michael Bidwill is among that group of the worst owners in the NFL.

I guess we maybe just want more from ownership? “Michael is just as good as Jimmy Haslem but with less money” is not the argument that you seem to think it is.

Literally nobody was talking about his attitude and study habits when we were 7-0 last year. Winning cures everything.

None of those guys mandate their coaches sit down with them and watch a few hours of film every week. Most of the above don’t hover around the draft room and practice either. All of the above also invest significantly more money into their franchises and coaches than the Bidwill’s too.

The Bidwill’s have had a difficult time attracting coaches for decades. Coaches don’t want to be micromanaged by a clueless trust-funder

Tony, Tony, Tony...

Was Tony your source for asserting that Quinn was (a) offered the job and (b) the offer was 'so bad' that he turned it down, or is this simply your bias showing? And what, pray tell, did Tony have to say about Payton actually deigning to visit the Cards?

The point remains that the number of quality candidates being interviewed suggests that the negative Kyler references are exaggerated.
I think I got it from several places. It seemed common knowledge. Here’s a Fansided headline, “Cowboys DC Dan Quinn turns down Cardinals, stays with Dallas.”

Talk about a clip being thrown out there on twitter with a definitive title which is out of context when the actual content leans towards joking and Glenn is noncommittal in the laughter... awe, all the sources of utter crap on social media

Michael Bidwill can find $12M in a half a second so yes it is easy.
He has the money, no doubt, I’m questioning his spending it just to get more cap flexibility. I guess only time will tell which of us is correct if they do eventually move on from Murray.

Definitely with you there. If he plays good football, I will absolutely love him, like I did the first half of 2021.

The good news is that the money is already spent (or will have been already spent in various bonuses), he’s just accelerating the accounting forward.

I’m not going to argue with you. I know, for a fact, that Bidwill has a bad reputation of being very difficult to work for and has his hands in everything.

That’s his right as an owner. But, guys who have built their careers in coaching and personnel don’t want a clueless owner questioning every move and micromanaging their job.

Which only further amplifies the point that an attitude like the one that is consistently tagged to Kyler, can’t sustain winning…
Perhaps the attitude chatter should’ve continued during that 7&0 stretch.

Much of the morning show was speculation that Kyler may be a big reason that potential hires are not interested in the Cardinals' job because they'll be tied to him for at least a couple of years.

They even played a podcast clip from last year which had Aaron Glenn cracking up at a "We know he doesn't study" comment directed at Kyler.

And, of course, this does go back to Bidwill being a horrible owner - because he chose to extend Kyler. Worst extension ever after the horrible collapse the season before including that awful playoff game, the circus with his agent, etc.

If we had a legitimate GM in place in recent years there is no way Kyler would have been extended but instead, we had a good buddy echo chamber who had just signed his own personal extension shortly before QB1 got his.

What a disaster.

The only argument is that it's a complete crock that coaches / GM's / players don't want to come here because of Mike Bidwill. Or "The Cardinals" in general.

If Haslam, Khan, the Johnsons, and all the other guys I mentioned can attract the guys they wanted, there is no way that people are not coming here because of "The Bidwills".

It's a fan made narrative to rag on Mike.

Is Mike a bottom half owner in the league? Sure he is. Has it stopped anyone else attracting staff? No it hasn't.

The $13 million roster bonus for 2025 hasn’t been paid and will only be paid if the Cards try to wait until after 6/1/2025 if the try to get the advantage of moving Murray after that date. Typically those are paid in March.

Guys spent the last 24 hours arguing over Tony Pauline's comments that Kyler is an issue.

What he actually reported was that he was told by people at the combine that it was an issue. Whether those people know that, or are assuming that we don't know.

But there is no way it's a thing at all if Kyler doesn't let this fester and become a running joke. The only reason Pauline can make it a thing is because Kyler has allowed it to be a thing.

It's complete BS to say it's just clickbait and people will move on in the next cycle. It's been the running narrative on Kyler now for close to a year. Nobody has moved on. It's stuck now, because he allowed it to be.

Even if he plays well again the jokes will be "He's playing well for a guy that only studies 4 hours. Imagine what he could do with 10".

Answer this. What possible advantage is there to Kyler to not doing any media? People keep saying "He doesn't have to do it. Screw those guys" but he also doesn't have to avoid it completely. How does it benefit him to do no media in the last year and let this narrative about him being difficult to work with, lazy studier, poor leader narrative fester?

We weren't 7-0 last year. That was 2 seasons ago.

And nobody was talking about it because it ALL came out after that season.
