Cardinals Make Roster Change At Punter
Team signs Gillikin, promotes Blount from practice squad

I am not sure if the team is overreacting after one bad game or shall I say one bad punt for a fairly young player. Was our punting that bad?
Exactly, Turk has the leg.Kinda OT but I’m really surprised ex ASU/Oklahoma punter Michael Turk hasn’t gotten a call from a team. Dude seemed like a punting prodigy in college
Yep. I saw it on the replay as well. I wonder if Prater wasn't comfortable with him as a holder.I swear on the 62 yard FG that the announcers said the laces were facing the kicker. That plus crappy punts = gotta go.
So why did the saints let him go?I don't think this is a placeholder issue. Cooney had been holding fine and Prater kicking well.
Cooney's punting has been erratic with at least 2 well short punts and others he should be dropping in the 20 going for touchbacks. He's shown poor control.
Gillikin was the Saints starting punter for the last 2 years and set a franchise record last year for punts inside the 20.
Obvious upgrade.
Here's an 81 air yard punt from his own 7 for a TB.

First thing that crossed my mind as well. A good holder came over take a few bad punts. ImoThe bigger issue is another holder for Prater to get used to
