Yep. I saw it on the replay as well. I wonder if Prater wasn't comfortable with him as a holder.

I don't think this is a placeholder issue. Cooney had been holding fine and Prater kicking well.

Cooney's punting has been erratic with at least 2 well short punts and others he should be dropping in the 20 going for touchbacks. He's shown poor control.

Gillikin was the Saints starting punter for the last 2 years and set a franchise record last year for punts inside the 20.

Obvious upgrade.

Here's an 81 air yard punt from his own 7 for a TB.

I think money. They are in cap hell and was due an RFA tender and then a full contract next year. Went with a UDFA rookie instead.

A mistake it seems as he's currently ranked 31st in yards per punt.
