This is a fluke, hes not this good.
Matt Flynn got himself big bucks from Seattle and Oakland because he put up 1 record game in GB as a backup
GB, who had Favre and Arod. Yet Flynn put up the record (for TDs or yards or something). Is Flynn a great QB? No
Foles is not a franchise QB. Hes just got a hot stretch right now.
If you don't know definitively the record Flynn set, you should not try to compare him to any player, let alone Foles. (to help you out, Flynn threw 6 TDs in Week 17 of the 2011 season [not the record], which he parlayed into an over-inflated contract with the Seahawks the following year). BTW--Foles followed up his 7 TD performance with a 3 TD game the following week. Flynn did not do that.
Is it because Foles threw for a massive amount of TDs in one game that the only comparison you're able to make is Matt Flynn? LOL!! This is the laziest analysis I've ever seen on this board.
All Foles has done this season is throw for 16 TDs, 0 INTs, 64%, completion and 9.6 YPA; all this after being on the bench to start the season. Out of 6 starts, he's had better than a 104 QB rating in 5 of them. Foles has done so well that even Vick came out publicly to say that Foles should remain the starter, essentially admitting he's not the best option for his own team.
I don't expect Foles to be a Hall of Fame QB, but you cannot simply discount his play thus far by calling it a "fluke."
