That's not what I asked. You said for most Americans "champing" and "chomping" mean the same thing. What do these words mean in Canada if they're not the same thing?
.... I've never heard the term "chomping at the bit" up here or anywhere outside of the US.
.... Another USism is "the proof is in the pudding".
Outside the US it's "the proof of a pudding is in the eating".
