we will keep 4-5 RB. I dont see a problem guaranteeing a spot. Johnson, rookie, ellington, kubalafi and kerwynn williams. I do want to keep Lasike though.

Kulabafi grice are going To be Cut.williams too cause doesnt have much to give on special teams
Hughes and Christian will fight for HB/TE spot
TE i see Feels and gresham starters.nicklas on the sideLine .and obahemi getting some plays

Whatever you think of possibly signing Chris Johnson (i think its a good low risk move) you have to be happy that the Cardinals dont sit ontheir hands anymore and are proactive about building a team.

Not every thought on personnel is going to hit. The key is how do you adapt when then dont? Cardinals cant be faulted for lack of effort last 2-3 years thats for sure.

Good Post , just keep on telling it like it is !!!

Dude - that's crazy, unless we sign Johnson - you just cut 3/5 of our RB - Kerwynn *may* make it over Kulabafi, but only if we have another RB with experience.

I like him to. Hope to see him on the 53 man roster.

I doubt Taylor or Williams are cut. Hughes and Christian they ones that maybe cut before Taylor and Williams.

Johnson wasn't that great in the locker room right? I thought I heard he had an attitude?

Not sure what the TE room has to do with it.

Taylor, williams and grice cannot be cut unless we sign other players, that would leave us with two RBs.

I like it without the guaranteed roster spot.

you could say it is guaranteed and if he isnt better than our crappy 4th stringers, cut him anyway. Could he really be a worse option than some of our backups though?

beyond that, he would play in preseason and if he is electric, yet we still cut him, he would land on another squad quickly.

I'm still holding out for the AP trade. :D

I just don't see BA doing that dance. I think Chris Johnson at this point should be happy to have a shot. A one year prove it deal should be ok with him if he still has something in the tank.

If he sees that we only have 1 starter and 1 rookie and the rest are backups and still has concerns he wouldnt make the team, no need to sign him.

If he made 4 mil last year we will probably have to offer him two mil to sign him. I would work him out and sign him if he looks good. If he can't beat out Grice or Stepfan Taylor then he is washed up. If he is close to being what he use to be then we would have a steal for sure.

He was on a 1 year 8 mil deal with the Jets last year...4 mil would be half of what he made last year.

On the fence about this. If he can help the team then I am all for it. This is why Kiem and Arians are paid to make these decision and not us.

Johnson would be a system fit in AZ because of his speed and pass catching ability. Can turn a quick pitch or short catch into chunk yards. Without Ellington and David Johnson on the field, BA hasn't been able to hone his high-speed offense---and thus adding another speed RB would be a plus.

That said, it is likely that he and his agent are trying to create a market for him by using the offer from the Cardinals as a catalyst. One can imagine he would like to play in Dallas behind their o-line.

What I wonder is what kind of a character fit he would be in AZ. I am not sure he would fit in---not sure he is team-oriented enough.

if the money is right it could be a good move. My guess is the last few years may have humbled Johnson to where he won't be a problem. We're not going to ask him to get 2000 yards, just be one of a group of RB's since it appears both Ellington and the rookie both have hamstring issues.

If he wants a guarantee to make the roster that is a bit of a concern, if he's healthy and still "got it" he wouldn't need a guarantee would he?

The Cardinals need to add another RB so I'm open minded about signing Chris Johnson. Have to trust the Cardinals' judgement on this one.

im not concerned about his character because our leaders are high character and wouldnt allow him to be the opposite.

If we sign him expectations shouldn't be that he's going to be a starter.

He'd basically give us a 3rd option to retain our normal offense if AE and DJ are injured.

In that sense I wouldn't mind. I'm not expecting him to start a single game based on his skills, only if injuries derail the other guys, and at this point we should be thinking it might. That's why we need to pick up another guy. Maybe with three we can run our offense the same week in and week out... because it's not looking to be the case with two.

I don't know. If he came in today he's better than what we've been rolling out there the last couple of weeks. David Johnson is still a week or two away and even then he is unproven. Ellington isn't an every down back. If Johnson signs he will be used right off the bat IMO.
