Pretty funny Linderbee, I had to show that to my lady and she said (while laughing at me not with) I totally deserved that one.:)

Fixed that for you. There's a lot to fix, and just so I'm not branded a non-fan: I hope he can be fixed.

But I think chances are better that the Cards find someone with less problems.

Right now Whiz is like a woman who is married to someone she knew going in had a ton of faults and is finding out that being married to him amplifies those problems...because now those problems belong to her.

So now you are calling Whis a woman? Try telling that to his face. :D

The ommision of Kurt Warner letting the whole FO know when he signed his contract that "HE MOST LIKELY WOULD RETIRE".So the contract was specifically written so he would not recieve as much as originally planned "UNLESS" he played BOTH years.

Whiz surely knew early what and how Warner was leaning as he said goodbye to the fans and well before earlier in the year.Kurt was'nt ready to sacrifice what it took him to play at the only level he would play at for another year.

Had nothing to do with concussions or hit in saints game.He went out on top period.

No excuses for the FO's many, many missteps and mistakes this awesome offseason Excodus.Plus level of money spent in comparison to other 31 teams, looks suspiciously familiar to a return to the SOC'S.Sadly enough you have to stay consistant to be cosistantly praised.

Apparently you haven't read any of Joe's posts on this thread. You are wrong about the money being spent and Joe explained why. The Cardinals are not being cheap. They are probably in the top 5 when it comes to players and coaches salaries in the past 3 years.

the D getting a stop against the Falcons probably would have helped out too.

But they were exhausted from being on the field so much.... even when Atlanta took the ball and rammed it down their throats on their first possession! That HAD to be DA's fault!! ;)

This is your line of thinking Cheese. The coaching staff went in a different direction taking teachable youth over a one or two year solution.

I really don't see it that way. I see it as management went cheap and poopy over expensive and solid. If I REALLY believed the coaching staff is who made the ultimate decision on the QB, I would be in a REAL bad place regarding the future of this team... but I'm not. I don't believe for a second that's the case, so I'm actually in a decent position as to our future because I do still believe in Wiz. I just the FO screwed him royally this year at QB.

The idea that Anderson at 27 is teachable youth is a view shared by you and... that's probably it. Maybe our FO, but I like to think they're not that clueless. Ugh... that probably reads like I think you're clueless and I don't think that. I think you always want to hope for the best and as a fan, that's cool. But your FO can't do that, not with a steaming pile of garbage like Anderson.

We still don't know how this will turn out. Let's at least give them the benefit of the doubt and see if they can pull this off.

we'll know soon enough... and when we do, are you going to tell people they shouldn't talk then either because it will be hindsight? 40, it's a message board... people don't get the benefit of the doubt here. You should know that by now.

Hey, I didn't say anything about people expressing their opinions. They are entitled to them just like I am to mine. The problem with this board is when you put an opposing view out there, a lot of people on here are so close minded, they refuse to even give your idea consideration. Just because I don't agree with the prevaling wisdom doesn't mean I am trying to get them to shut up. I just don't believe that some of them think this thing through and instead let knee jerk reactions guide their emotions.

I guess my many years of following this team is finally mellowing me out. I might cuss and scream during the game, but after it is over and the results are known, what's done is done. You can't undo it and no amount of groaning and complaining is going to change that. And since this is a team game, I refuse to put all of the blame on one solitary figure, especially after a game like we had with the Falcons. I refuse to allow the outcome to make me miserable or ruin my week. It's a football game and in life's priorities, it is pretty far down the totem pole. That's why it's so hard for me to understand why we have to have a suicide watch after every loss.

Great summation of Derek Anderson as a QB:
Kent Somers said:
Two games into the season, Anderson has displayed that powerful arm, a nagging tendency to miss open receivers and a toughness that has won over coaches and teammates.

I can't let that sentence by Somers go by without responding.

Scud's inaccuracy is not a "nagging tendency". It's a crippling flaw, an absence of one of the critical skills necessary to success as an NFL QB. I'm clinging to the faintest hope that with coaching and increasing familiarity with the offense and his teammates, he can improve just enough to reach minimal competence, and with scheming, Whisenhunt can make the offense just effective enough for the Cardinals to avoid being a laughing stock again.

After the joy of watching Warner pick defenses apart, it's so frustrating to now have to cringe and hope to avoid disaster every time Anderson drops back to pass.

On the other hand, expectations are now so low again that every positive play the offense does achieve is a really nice surprise!

Ugh.

40, I think you just threw out a really bad idea in that Anderson is "teachable youth" which is why people like me don't give it any consideration.

Just because I don't agree with the prevaling wisdom doesn't mean I am trying to get them to shut up. I just don't believe that some of them think this thing through and instead let knee jerk reactions guide their emotions.

I'm pretty much there with you. Once the ball game's over, I'm either giddy because we won or I really don't care that we lost. We've seen it all... the good and bad and there's just no reason to take it so seriously.

You can't undo it and no amount of groaning and complaining is going to change that.

I agree with this to a point... it's not going to change it but I don't think talking about how we got here is "groaning and complaining". It's just a discussion of how we ended up at this point. Nothing we say really matters here. It's just good talk.

And since this is a team game, I refuse to put all of the blame on one solitary figure, especially after a game like we had with the Falcons.

completely agreed. the D was laughable. Ouchie and I were having fun HOPING we wouldn't be able to force a punt by the end of the game once it was clear we came out and decided to take a dump on the carpet.

I refuse to allow the outcome to make me miserable or ruin my week. It's a football game and in life's priorities, it is pretty far down the totem pole. That's why it's so hard for me to understand why we have to have a suicide watch after every loss.

eh, I can't speak for others, but I could care less if we lost. it has no bearing on my life whatsoever. Maybe before 2008 it did, but I've been through hell and back personally and it's completely mellowed me out, making me realize there are MUCH MORE important things than that 3 hours on Sunday. Besides, win or lose, I'm entertained either way on Sunday. If we win, even better, but even in a loss, I get to hang out with my brother and fellow Cardinals fans and clown on each other and the team... which sometimes is almost as fun.
