I have a bit of a beef blaming Levi when we toss and expect him to block top pass rushrs with their ears pinned back every game. I think He is great considering the pressure put on him by passing 66% of the time for most of his time in AZ.

We play like we are behind when were ahead! over the last 3 years 3 score Leads have dissappeared like snow in Mesa. Grimmthe same way were asking him to do the impossible and then tar and feather them?

As far as SIL LB, Hayes is the engine of this defense, but He was injured and never got up to full speed after coming in late. If His back is better Hayes is one of the best, we need somebody behind him developing. perfect partner for the safety/LB combo of DWash. But Hayes has held the middle solid when up to speed, yea he looks slow but He's not done.

Dwill is Hayes best friend and likewise!

Were set back 5 years at QB, Matt Schaub may be a QB option? not mentioned but Kubiack loves Leinart. it might become an option. Mcnabb, maybe cause of AZ ties. Everybody else avoids Whisenhunt like the plague, its a qB graveyard even with Fitz. Whiz is not QB friendly, nor our defense or our ignored running game.

Like most teams, the Cardinals spent the week after the season assessing the 2010 performance and formulating plans to fix what went wrong.
What that will entail should be interesting. Whisenhunt hasn't ruled out changes in his coaching staff, although he's not anxious to make them.
Whisenhunt hired defensive coordinator Bill Davis two years ago to replace Clancy Pendergast, who was fired. Whisenhunt isn't keen on hiring a third coordinator, especially one that will bring in a new system.
That might be difficult to install if a lockout consumes most of the offseason.

TEAM NEEDS
Quarterback: Someone who can throw with accuracy and make clutch plays is badly needed. The Cardinals are expected to acquire a veteran and perhaps use a high pick to fill the need.
Outside linebacker: The team desperately needs a pass rusher, and there is a dearth of young talent on the roster. They could address this with the fifth overall pick.
Left tackle: Levi Brown just didn't get the job done in his first year after moving from right tackle.
Inside linebacker: The lack of a physical strong inside linebacker hurt the team all year. The Cardinals gave up way too much on the ground.

--The Cardinals finished last in the NFL in rushing this season and 31st in total yards. Defensively, the Cardinals yielded more points than any other team and were 29th in total yardage.
--Strong safety Adrian Wilson said the end of the season was met with mixed reaction in the locker room. Some guys welcomed the end. Some were saddened. Some didn't care. Asked if this team had too many players who didn't care about winning, Wilson replied: "That's not for me to tell. A lot of that stuff is hidden, you'll never see it. I've been here for 10 years. I've done seen a lot of bull (expletive)."
--The Cardinals have not announced any changes in the coaching staff, but those could come. There will certainly be changes in personnel after a 5-11 record. "Coach Whiz isn't the type to have a season like this," Wilson said. "We're definitely going to have change."
--Whisenhunt's decision to demote then release quarterback Matt Leinart in preseason has been debated and criticized all year. The day after the season, the coach was asked if he thought the team would have been better with Leinart at quarterback. "Who knows? That's the question that can't be answered, but I am sure it is a popular topic."

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I think sometimes you get emotionally attached to players and what they've done for you in the past, and you have a tendency to overlook certain things. I think that builds up over time when you have success and you start evaluating players based on what you remember them doing a year or two or three or four ago and maybe not candidly assessing where they are now." -- Coach Ken Whisenhunt

what LT stood up to this playcalling over 3 years. 1800 passes in 3 years? thats why coaches and players voted him probowl last year.

While some fans don't understand the pure volume of plays where Levi is put at a disadvantage to top pass rushers.

I stopped reading as soon as I saw you say Levi Brown is great.

even you

He has flat blown many pass rushers up against their will for a long time, but instead of having to do it 20-30 times a game on a balanced offense. The Cards are playing from behind(even when were ahead) the worse possible scenerio for a LT, oline, team every game year in and year out.

Levi has more great blocks under dire circumstances than any LT in the NFL over the last 3 years. Kurt don't have those great games without Levi holding up to extreme pressure every down!

just because you only count the plays gone bad doesnt mean its the truth. Even Peyton Manning never asked from his LT what these stupids are asking from Levi and this oline. Patriots never never never put a player in that position for 3 years.

Only time Levi got a break was the playoff wins, where Edge established the run in 08 and Beanie in the first half against the Packers in 09. The rest of the time the franchise leans heavy on their Left Tackle everydown. More pressure than the QB!

Levi is always at a disadvantage against any pash rushers.

I get your point about Levi. He's a run blocker. Use him as such Whiz.

That said, your LT needs to be a better pass blocker regardless. Even teams like Pittsburgh are forced to leave their LT on an island against edge rushers sometimes. You can't run the ball every play in the NFL.

Is this just more of your Leinart fantasy or have there been serious rumors about Houston dumping Schaub. I didn't watch every game they played but the ones I did see, it looked to me like defense was a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH bigger problem than offense.

fantasy

Its my Leinart fantasy again partially, I apoligies to all the lil pygmys in 3rd world nations:sad:

Mostly cause of Schaubs age compared to Leinart's long term, and how much talent difference Kubiak evaluates betwen a top 10 Schaub and Leinart compared to upside. I think Leinart has potential to be better long term and is not that big a gap between talent levels right now. The price is right and that matters alot to a team. Whiz ruined Matts value and his life, but He'll get back a top 10 contract when he earns it on the field.

this is the little i had to go on. but really does Schaub want to die in Whiz's QB graveyard? I think he has the power to go elsewhere, but hey no QB worth their salt wants to get killed by Whiz.

This by somebody that has a clue about NFL QB's.

QB Matt Leinart will be coveted by the Texans if coach Gary Kubiak keeps his job. Kubiak has been impressed with how hard Leinart has worked, not to mention his talent. Leinart wants to play, and he won't play in Houston as long as Matt Schaub is healthy. (Updated 12/27/10
