I expect it from 90. He is die hard birdgang. I never got the vibe from Fitz that I get from dockett. Fitz rocks still though.

Many are probably distancing themselves from Fitz to make the breakup easier

PS I am a firm believer dockett takes a cut and stays and have been saying it for a long time. Nothing new from me.

Lol I'm not taking his calls anymore I think he'll get the hint.

Both are really good team guys. Fitz is the first guy on offense to throw his body around and lay a guy out to spring someone. But we're going to find out who's really down for the cause this offseason. The Cardinals have made both very rich now it's time to give back but would you? Would I?

at the end of my career and my lifelong team is a serious contender? yeah I would. Its that or make similar money somewhere else who may not even sniff the playoffs.

You also have to consider your only in your mid 30s and will never in your life come close to making this kind of money again oh and it's not guaranteed. Think about if your company now who you've worked for for 10 years comes to you and says hey man were having some rough times we've been good you can we cut your pay in half. How many of us would really stay. I'm just saying I understand if they do leave

but is anyone really going to pay them far more than us? Maybe dockett but no one is going to give fitz 20 million a year. their job is nothing like ours. When you are permanently financially secure and come to a crossroads of would I rather have 6 million a year and some championships with who drafted me vs 10 million a year and fizzle out on a bottom feeder team, I would think most people are going to take the success over a small pay increase.

Some dont.

Dockett will stay if we make a reasonable offer to him. If our offer sucks, I dont blame him for leaving.

No matter what happens after this year Fitz and Dockett will always be two

of my all time favorites because of how they played through the years.

I am going to assume Fitz is gone at the end of the year but I hope I am

wrong.

It's been awhile since they've had two higher drafted rookies on board.

It should give the vets a boost as well and keep them sharp.

We're building good depth there. Dockett working with Stinson and Campbell with Martin seem to be good matches.

Martin has the bigger challenge transitioning to OLB at first. But I'd think they'd use him like BBerry; off the right side in a quasi 4-3 on 3rd downs. Or with just Dockett and Cambell too.

I dont see it. DD wins with speed and technique. Stinson is very powerful, but pretty much a immobile run stuffer.

Martin has a great shot at being an impact player for us at OLB. But Stinson will likely be a Frostee Rucker type player. Not much more.

Its been awhile since we sunk a early rounder on a Dlineman. I think the '15 draft could be Dline heavy,

Plenty of good Dlineman in next years draft. Dont get me started. No way I start talking 15 draft already. Even though I could. But I refuse. Id go mental

Agreed. Apparently DD is still bitter the vets never did the same for him so he's going out of his way to make sure to not be the same to these rookies

Considering the veterans were Marcus Bell and Russell Davis that was probably a good thing. Remember that slant DT alignment Pendergast ran under Green? Thank God DD didn't get ingrained with than nonsense.

"understand"? Absolutely. But "expect"? Not from DD. He's always made his feelings crystal clear. He's a player that wears his heart on his sleeve and then magnifies it. He's the type to sit out camp if he's unhappy, and the type to play for less if he is. After what he said about Dansby, I fully expect DD to be willing to take a pay cut to play for a ring. Fitz on the other hand, is quite the opposite from DD. He doesn't complain, he doesn't brag, he goes out and does his job to the fullest, whether he's happy, mad, sad, whatever. He is the ultimate professional. But that could translate poorly in our attempt to keep him for less $. Only time will tell, but I would be surprised if DD wouldn't stick around for less if it meant a ring. Fitz is harder to read. While I would love to see them both stick around for less, I also understand why they wouldn't and am not going to hold my breath

Comparing their job to ours is apples to oranges though. We work 30 years longer than they do. And they still make more in 1 year than we would in 10. With the $ they've currently made, they can retire comfortably already, and still have the option of working for a franchise or for a network, still making more than we do, potentially close to what they make playing if they're popular enough. We don't have all those options

Who? I'm always impressed by your stats & remembrance of players past Duck. I've been a huge fan since they moved to the valley but I don't remember half the stuff you do. You are like a walking Cards encyclopedia. ;)

I don't see Stinson being another DD. At best maybe a Michael Bankston and that ain't to bad.

Yeah, that would be good enough to declare Stinson an excellent draft pick.

I really liked Bankston.

Lol how could this be misunderstood?

I don't think it was. I think it was a joke and a pretty good one too. And if not then I'm happy I was able to find humor where it wasn't intended. Serendipity.

I remember both of those guys. Marcus Bell scored a TD on defense once. And, it was hilarious as his body type is "round" and it was probably the slowest run to the endzone I've ever seen.
