Has decent skills in that video. He has a shot as a backup and he will be cheap. At least the guy can tackle and moves well which is more than I can say for some on the defense last year.

Probably camp fodder, but he's got decent pursuit, he doesn't give up on plays even when the play is far away from him & he has a spin move.

Saw his video. Extremely raw! He has guns and likely the expected strength. Good news; he splits blockers well, has a nose for the ball and shows okay tackling skills.

On the negative side he lacks knowledge of leverage, isn’t fast or quick and likely responds poorly to play action. Likely he’s a non-factor.

Before we all jump on the signing and ridicule it, there is something we should all take into account, this kind of signing does not happen often, meaning there is some guy some place which really believes in this kid with a passion, enough to convince the Cardinals to give him a chance... in my book that is something beautiful in sports right there, and that act alone deserves some respect in my opinion

It could be the start of a Euro movement. Who knows.

When is Darren going to post the story about the background on this signing? I think it goes like this: When Keim was trying to balance his skis while skiing on Swiss Alps this winter, a very bright young man from Togo approached him to lend a hand. The young man introduced himself as a football player for German League and impressed the GM with his football IQ and today finds himself on the Cardinals roster.

PS: I personally like Keim as cardinals GM. This is just for gigs with some background on how cards scouted certain players.

He'll probably end up on the practice squad. He definitely needs some more experience. Seems a little slow on tape.

Yeah, probably won't amount to much but one only has to look at the Spurs and how they botch their team with signing guys from Argentina and France :)
The difference is that foreign basketball players, especially from places like Argentina, rival the NBA in terms of talent. But signing a guy from the German Football League would be like a Premier League team signing a guy from the United Soccer League.

The problem is that Americans are often so full of themselves they cannot see the forest from the trees because they think they are the only tree in the world. The guy is from Togo, and moved to Germany where he pursued his love for football. I find it hard to believe that the whole continent of Africa does not have athletes which could excel in the NFL when one considers all the African Americans which makeup the rosters. Sure it's a long shot but football is not rocket science and unlike some guys who arrive at the Cardinal facilities, this guy knows a lot about our team and has followed the play of Chandler Jones. I am not mad at you per say NJCard but as an American I often feel embarrassed by our tendency to be arrogant with our ignorance... maybe he can amount to something

Togo...I think you are confusing Togo with Congo.

Nothing like rushing to judgment before we've even seen the dude in action.

He'll be camp fodder, just like the pass rushing specialist from the CFL.

This guy probably has a one in a million shot of being anything worthwhile.

I hate to say this but simply saying a guy can play just because he's black is a tad racist. Being black doesn't make one a superior athlete. It's like the old joke that if you see a really tall black guy you automatically assume he can play basketball. And when it comes to football, we are better than the rest of the world by leaps and bounds for the same reason why other countries are better at soccer than we are. We grow up playing football in this country. Same with basketball. Go to any public park in any city in this country and you'll see kids playing basketball. Just like in Europe you'll see kids kicking a soccer ball around almost anywhere. In the fall, we have football games going on and we're immersed in it every weekend from Friday to Monday night and like basketball and baseball, maybe the rest of the world will catch up to a degree(we're still the best at basketball) but as of right now, we are far superior in football.
