If the kid comes close to the potential he had coming out of college ?

Awesome.

jeez, how many TEs to we need?

Whiz is to TEs as Gruden is to QBs.

Was arested around 3 times while with the Rams.

Sounds more like a message to Pope and Patrick maybe. One or both didnt show up to the 3 day Camp in the shape like they should have been so they signed a TE to send a message, maybe???

Familiar faces.

The kid has struggled since college, had some kind of bar fight incident at one point and was out of football last year. I dont know about being arrested 3 times, this is the only one I found?

But you never know, everyone deserves a second chance and maybe the kid can turn it all around. More competition in camp is a good thing and it shows how important Whiz thinks TE's are to this offense.

I like it.

The shotgun approach. I like it.

Especially needed when you have mediocre underachieving talent named Pope, Patrick, Becht, Shor, and Spach on the roster.

Can't hurt....Maybe they've got a new 5 tight end formation that they're dying to unveil.

So I'm assuming that him a Leinart played together and are tight?

You know Whiz has some experience playing in an "H" back system where tight ends are used as kind of a fullback/receiver hybrid.

Both he an Pope were highly toted TE candidates coming out of college the same year.

Interesting that both are struggling to find a place on the team.

Says a lot about the draft and how darn tricky it can be.

No one's ever doubted the guy's talent. If his issues are in the past, which I assume they are if Whis brought him in, it's a good signing.

Weren't he and Leinart at USC at the same time? Maybe that'll help him somehow.

lol I posted a link earlier in the thread of Leinart thowing him a TD in the Orange Bowl that obviously nobody watched...:bang:

man nobody pays attention to my posts lol:mulli:, I mean, I know I dont have 45thousand posts like some of the veterans of this board, but that's just because I try to stay out of it unless I feel like I have something valuable to add to the discussion.

Ok I'll shutup and go back to my corner now, sorry for the outburst.
