Drew Stanton is a class act. Pure class. MVP type teammate. Like so many of this year's Cardinals---great teammates, but not especially great performers on game day. It's fine with me if Stanton kicks butt in this game. I would be very happy for him and the team.

Picking between Stanton and BG is like going to the dentist and picking which tooth you want a root canal on. They are both painful to watch and I hope neither one of them is on the roster next year.

I don’t like losing & I know you guys feel the same, but we really need to this week against Giants to cement our spot in the top 11 & have a solid chance at either Lamar or Baker without having the need to trade up. If we win, nobody is going to remember it a month from now.

Yes, yes, tanking isn’t cool, but we also gotta worry about the future, fellas. Stanton gives us a good chance at that.

I don't know we might score a touchdown with Stanton.

I wasn't a Drew Stanton fan, however, after watching Gabbert for the past 5 weeks I have to admit that Drew is a much better backup. He does give us a better chance of winning. I think we would have beaten the Redskins if Drew had started.

I'll take Drew Stanton as my back up any day of the week. I hope the Cards resign him to be the back up next year if BA stays. I thought he's done everything you would expect from a back up QB. I would definitely take him over BG.

The problem with having a veteran starter and a veteran backup is you are not giving enough snaps to the rookie. This is why the Cardinals have not drafted a QBOF. Too few snaps and QB hurdles.

But, as far as your points about Drew Stanton, it's hard to argue with his 8-4 record, 5-1 at U of P and the fact that he is the consummate teammate.

I hear you as I was thinking similar thoughts during the game...although with as wide open as Fitz was for 3 quarters, it wouldn't be difficult to imagine that Gabbert would have done just as well if not better. I think BA wanted to give Stanton this satisfaction, not Gabbert. And based on BA's history with Stanton, it's understandable. It should be interesting to see how Stanton does versus the Seahawks.

The Giants' defense, other than stuffing the run with Snacks Harrison was like the Washington Generals vs. the Harlem Globetrotters...as in phantom/token defense. Hard to figure seeing as Steve Spagnuolo is a veteran defensive coach who usually can scheme with the best of them.

I don't think Stanton is much better than Gabbert - I think Stanton is better NOW and in THIS OFFENSE compared to Gabbert. If we draft a QB, I hope we have Palmer and Gabbert on the roster for the transition if BA stays one more year. If no BA...well...next year will be interesting...
