BA is loyal to the end. Giving Stanton what amounts to a couple pre-season games to showcase his skills for a potential suitor for next year.

Verdict - Gabbert looks the part, but he doesn't make plays.

Injuries have ruined this season (pretty much league wide). Big Earl was sitting on his couch one Sunday and starting for the Cards the next. They've gone through four different left tackles and multiple players at every position other than center.

Maybe it will be like the game I went to in Denver a couple of years ago where Stanton got knocked out of the game and in came my hope for QBOF, one Logan Thomas. My hopes were dashed by the 3rd quarter but it was fun for the 20 min he lasted.

Those guys all went into a year as the #3 QB. Name another #3 QB in the NFL. After you look it up, you'll likely find similar QB's, except that Gabbert can still be a decent #2.

A couple weeks ago, there were posts about going into next with Gabber over Palmer. That was never going to happen but I'm not going to pile on Gabbert. He's a #2 QB and there's nothing wrong with that.

The way BA praised BG it sounded like he was appeasing or patronizing him. BA maintained that BG is going to be "a great pro"---but quickly stated that Stanton "gives the team the best chance to win."

Gabbert/Stanton... was no difference. Both are interchangeable 2nd/3rd stringers.

Respectfully disagree. Stanton has the stronger arm. Stanton is more your traditional upright pocket QB. Gabbert has more mobilty. He also has more streaky accuracy. Stanton has better red zone productivity. Neither has set the world on fire. Neither has been blessed with elite pass blocking.

Whatever, it's not like there is much of a difference other than I think Stanton is probably smart enough to actually throw the ball away once he is out of the pocket instead of running out of bounds for a 5 yard loss.

Whomever is back there throwing the ball, I just hope the game plan these last two games is to force feed Fitz. I'm talking like Kobe's last game feed him. Just keep throwing him the ball every single play regardless of score, double teams, whatever it takes to pad his stats as much as possible. We can lose by 50 as long as Larry gets 10 for 120.

I mean why not? What else is there to prove or play for at this point? They already run that stupid WR screen the first drive of every game to keep his streak going. Why not go all in? Nothing else that happens in these last two games means a damn thing.

So much of Larry's career has been wasted playing on garbage teams with garbage QBs. 2017 has just been the latest chapter. Were these to be his last two games, in true Cardinal fashion it would be an unfortunate but fitting end.

What would you rather have... the Seattle win on the road last year or Desean Watson?

I get that the players always want to win. It’s their job. But I’ll never understand fans celebrating completely meaningless wins at the end of one season that will have negative repercussions the next year... and beyond.
