Kenyan Drake saved Keim’s job. No, one wonders what Keim will do with David Johnson. Hopefully DJ31 listens to his wife and retires

Any chance we can trade DJ and/or Reddick for picks or at least other 1st round busts looking for a different opportunity?

I would trade either for OJ Howard (not a bust but in the doghouse).

The financial ramifications make David Johnson untraceable. Maybe someone can clarify, but the organization is screwed if he does not retire?

I don't know what would happen if he retired vs cap but trading him is way better than cutting him IIRC.

Every team needs 3 good running backs. I felt going into this year we would be in a world of hurt if DJ went down. Edmonds eases the pain until he got hurt and Drake saved the day. So I would definitely keep Drake. He runs like his hair is on fire.

Boom !!

I loved this yesterday: When asked about being the first Cardinals' player to score 4 touchdowns in a game since Ron Moore in 1993, Kenyan said "Wow. I wasn't even born when that happened." LOL

Unfortunately, you are right on this. No one will pick up his contract and he is not going to retire with $14 Million guaranteed for next year.
Can he retire and move into the front office, with the Cards giving him that money in a different way?

The dj role is very marginal at this point, guess they want to force him to restructure the contract and trade him

Too bad about DJ, he was so good. You would think they could run him as a receiver. Drake just seems to get yards though. Not flashy, just has a knack for going where there is running room.

Yeah, I don't understand why he isn't used in the passing game. He is a complete mismatch against a LB every time and has maybe the best hands on the team after Fitz.

I have a feeling we will have both DJ and Drake on the roster next year and KK is going to have to find a way to get them both heavily involved. Should also run more sets with both on the field.

I think David Johnson’s butt puckered a little after watching from the sidelines Drake score his 4th TD of the game.
