There is no longer a doubt about.

These teams play each other hard. More to the point, they don't like each other. Qutoes from Docket, Wilson, Breaston; it is clear they are looking forward to this tangle and it is more than just professional.

Fans of both teams reflect the rivalry. Oh, it used to be that 49'er-fan would'nt even admit to it, sort of a "we are too good to be your rivals" thing. Not anymore; they point to the opening season win at our house with pride. They want a win on MNF to gain some measure of national validation...by a win against the Arizona Cardinals!

Personally, when I hold the mental-image of each of our division foes in my mind and judge the feeling I have and the reaction...it is clear. I would like to beat them like they stole something. Which, they did; a win, in OUR house.

the only division loss in two years. It means SO much to our guys. Its gonna be a Superbowl or Playoff type atmosphere and hitting in this game.Singletary wants this game more than anything right now.It IS the 9ers SUPERBOWL.

Lots of big hits and maybe some surprise stuff also. We've got to shut down Vernon Davis and not let him beat us.No way do we let Adrian Wilson cover him one on one.Thats just asking for a loss.Although Adrian could of had 2 interceptions last week. He's trying to get better on covering a tight end.Shiancoe and Davis are night and day though.

Coach Davis better bring the ranch this week.We need to shut the 9ers down. They let the seahags stay in a game last week they had no way of keeping in the game.I'm thinking they were looking ahead myself.Along with one lucky pass play by baldy to set up for the final field goal to win the game.It ruined Singletary's whole season.

I hate the Niners, its the biggest rivalry for me.

(I hate the Cowboys more, but we rarely play them)

I think the sentiment amongst the players in the locker room is that they despise the 9ers more so than any other team. From what I heard on the podcast this week, players were already talking about the MNF game right after the Vikings game was over.

I truly believe they have vengeance on the brain and we'll see a more spirited team than we have seen all season long, including last week.

I was just at Chompie's at PV mall for lunch. Looked up and there was some kid wearing a Niner's Santa hat. The one day this week I haven't worn a Cards sweashirt. Rats. (And this kid was eating a hamburger. Who eats a hamburger at Chompie's?)

I want to just bust 'em Monday night.

I can't believe they lost to SEA last week.

If they would have won that game, then yes, I would believe they would come out on MNF breathing fire.

But now I'm not so sure...

I could be wrong, but I would take the cards and lay the points in this one.

When the Cardinals were in the NFC East, I hated the Cowboys (still do). In the NFC West, I hate the 49'ers (always have)

Well, I don't feel the rivalry against 49ers in particular. It's usually against any team who's competing with you to win the division. Just a coincidence it's 49ers last year and this year. Next year, it could be Seahawks or Rams, you never know.

I didn't know niners fans were anything but vegetarians?

Not even close for me. 49ers are by far the biggest rivals.

Heaven help the Niners if this is the case.

I hate SF more than any other team in American sports.

Didn't think so before tonight... but this ish has pushed it to a new level in my mind. I don't even want to win anymore. I want to beat the living ish out of them from now until eternity.
