Homers all around, two relievers ejected, a cycle for fever-sticken Drew (first Chase Field cycle), a go-ahead RBI for Eckstein's (his first as a D-back), what a game! It wasn't looking very good while Randy was in there. All this and the seventh isn't over. What lunacy will shake down next?

Yes this would indeed be a huge win espcially consdering the Padres lost to the Rockies today, and by the way good inning by Qualls in the 7th
The Padres are playing the Dodgers later (thus my earlier Go Padres comment). The Rockies beat the Giants.
Qualls is the pitcher of record right now, hopefully it stays that way.

Melvin just cost the Diamondbacks a run by having Clark pinch run. Salazar would of scored if he was pinch running. Melvin has to be the dumbest manager.:bang:

Salazar was already used as a pinch hitter.

Nope, there was no effort by Pujols to catch that throw that nailed Upton in the coconut. LaRussa's they kind of guy who would order a play like that. Maybe someone should spike Pujols on the next play to first base, then. (I don't condone things like that, well...)
The lunacy continues. Drew is working on another cycle  .

There's no way that was intentional. If that ball is just a little off from where it was, Upton would have been standing on third.

In Tucson.

I thought he was brought up today, my bad but Melvin could of had anyone like Hammock or Augie pinch run. Tony Clark is the last guy I would pinch run.

The good news is that the Diamondbacks won. Hopefully Maddux gets hit hard tonight.

Very nice win, but meaningless if they can't win at least one of the next two. It would be a great to win a series against a quality team like this to start off September.

Wow, what a game. I didn't think we'd be able to pull this one out, but I am glad to be wrong! Good game by Eckstein - he had some timely hits! And way to go Drew!!!
