Tough win but I'll take it. Here it goes...

The Good

Win #11-Not since I was but a wee lad of 10 and the very first year as a Cardinals fan have we reached 11 wins. And it was done with smoke, mirrors, and a lot of breaks.

Defense-They came to play today. Hill, looked completely befuddled at times and the only time he had significant gains was when our DB's couldn't track a wounded duck he threw. Bravo Bowles.

Offensive Line-Good job today with the exception of Larson who, thanks to his matador impression led to Stanton getting injured.

Catanzaro-Great game by the kid. Real confidence boost type game. And his first 50+ FG to boot.

The Bad

Dropped Balls-In big situations. Sure Stanton was less than accurate but when you're hit in the hands you should make the catch.

Ted Larson-Just an overall bad game today. His biggest sin was ole'ing his man who came through, wrapped up Stanton, and hurt him. The guy just didn't have it today.

No TD's-Do this next week and we're going to get spanked. We need to score TD's if we get inside the 10.

The Ugly

Injury Big Strikes Again-This time it's Stanton. And right now we're stuck with Lindley. Oy.

Officiating-As I keep saying, I'm not expecting perfection but at least act like we're watching the same game.

That's it. A short one tonight.

I need to make a correction. Larson didn't blow his block on the Stanton sack and injury. It was Cooper. He was beaten like a rented mule.

I agree with you but I no longer put it down to smoke and mirrors, a majority of our wins came from just plain smart and gusty football played right and smoke and mirrors does not win 11 games
Go Big Red!

Dude, you're just such a downer. Two of your "good" have negatives, and one of those says we win with smoke mirrors and a lot of breaks? How about, "because we are good, have good players, coaches and front office people." How about actually giving credit to this very good team we have, specifically the defense. Nope, basically you think we get lucky. More Bad and Ugly than Good. Crying about officiating. Really, dude. It never ends. And this is after a win. Troll.

How about this.

The Great: We are freiking 11-3. Period.

Don't like what I write, don't read it. You do realize it's that easy, right? And winning with smoke, mirrors, and a lot of breaks is a good thing considering there was a time we couldn't catch a break if our lives depended on it.

It was both him and I believe JV. There were like 3 Rams players on Stanton when he was sacked. The whole left side crumbled.

The good

143 yards rushing. I still can't figure out why KW didn't get more touches. ST ran hard, but lacks the moves for the extra yards.

Frostee Rucker. On one play he literally pushed his guy backwards into the QB. Great to see a guy like that with that kind of effort.

Bruce Arians takes shot at “always 8-8″ Rams after Cardinals victory

“I love it when nobody says you have a chance to win,” Arians said. “There is an 11-3 team and a team that is always 8-8. You figure it out.”

The Rams were coming off 52-0 victory over the Oakland Raiders and a 24-0 victory over the Washington Redskins. Arians felt the Rams may have been paying too much attention to what was being said about them lately.

“Everybody wanted to talk all that stuff about how great their defense is. I think they saw a good defense tonight, it was in red and white,” Arians said. “We blocked them. I think they had been reading their press clippings way too much.”

I thought Rucker, Kelly, Campbell, and Okafor seriously intimidated the Rams QB. He was not stepping into throws, he was hardly even stepping up in the pocket. I think he was tired of getting slammed into the ground almost every single pass play.

That is several times this season where the physicality of our D-Line has made a big difference in the way the opposing QB approaches us. I am very proud of Bowles and all of the players for that.

Like I said in this post....NFC West swagger! And BA has it.

I think when Cooper lost his guy and knocked into Sandlein, it made him lose his guy too. But yeah the line just folded.

I don't think Tommy Kelly's impact on the game is mentioned enough, he gave fits to whoever was trying to block him all night. The Ram's D-Line got all the pre-game press but the Cardinals DL was simply better both the starters and back-ups.

I wasn't sure who Bruce was talking about with the "...always 8-8" comment. It's been a long time since the Rams have won at least 8 games.

Listening to Bickley, and it sounds like our coaching staff doesn't like Fisher.

Go Cards!!!
