Didnt get the whole concusion talk, considering he never actually missed a game?

Also this kid is a gamer. Showed up big against big teams.

Take a look at his stat line 4 games in a row against LSU, Auburn, Miss St, and Alabama. Ridiculous.

So why not Quanterus Smith instead of Stepfan Taylor? That's the only mistake I think the Cardinals made in this draft. Taylor was neither BPA or a need and for me QS had much more potential as a contributor to the Cardinals football team.

But like I've said before few of those late round picks ever develop into anything so not a big mistake.

Perhaps in today's NFL a skill player with concussion problems can play long enough to have a meaningful career. All the new rules geared around player safety, mostly by reducing head to head contact.

Hopefully in today's game Swope can avoid becoming the next Jahvid Best.

What kind of post is this? Some kind of slam on the Academics at Western Kentucky? Last time I looked the NFL didn't give any extra points on Sundays for SAT scores or GPA's. Smith had 3 sacks vs Alabama!

Reading all these posts with an evaluation of the draft based on where guys were picked vs where they were predicted to be picked instead of their actual potential to help the Cards on the football field is giving me a headache.

Not likely seeing that you can't even use proper grammar.

This has to be the fastest white guy in the world. I thought they accidentally put the wrong picture on his profile.

Just goes to show how overrated the SEC is. A middle of the pack Big 12 team comes in and in their first year, after a slow start, ends the season as the best team in the league. Sure the SEC teams can win when they have a month or more to prepare for a top offense but they can't do it when they only have 5 days. :p

The funny thing is I actually agree with. SEC is the best league for sure but I bet Alabama wouldn't have gone undefeated in the Pac 12. That defense wouldn't have looked as amazing going one week against Oregon, then Stanford, then Arizona, then SC etc. Alot easier when you play the same offense week after week.

I'm also a Pac 12 homer :)

But football is about matchups at end of day and I think Alabama matches up better defensively against LSU, UGA, Auburn etc

Good for Swope but why he lasted until the 6th round is confounding. Hell, Connor Vernon had to sign with Raiders as an UFA.

Tough kid:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCosoGT0beM

On a side note, why does the music in all these Youtube highlight reels sound like it was chosen by someone who doesn't watch football?

Thanks for posting. Great route runner, and nasty after the catch. Love it.

But what's up with that Deacon Jones quote? I think he is the one with too many concussions....
