Cards are NOT trading up for Floyd...no freaking way.

We have Fitz and Roberts....add to the holes we have on O line ...it's not happening.

I'll bet on it...sir Jason LaCanSuckenfore

The trade up that would be possible is offering our 1st next year to get Kalil.....that's real....

Floyd is a better target for moving up than Kalil is, IMO. But, this is the wrong draft to trade up. We have enough holes and there will be more than enough hole-fillers at 13 to keep us happy. The only player I think might be worth trading up for is Richardson but I'd only consider doing that if we had a good deal in place for Beanie.

I fervently hope we do not pass on an Ingram or Reiff to get Floyd - let alone trade up to get him.

Amen! It's NOT like we're one key player away like Atlanta thought they were last year. The Cardinals really can't afford to wait until round 4 or 5 to address offensive line and OLB in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind moving up...but not for Floyd.

The guys I'd try to move up to get, in order:
Kalil
Claiborne
Richardson (maybe package Beanie in a trade)

But we are one key player away. Sadly it's our QB.

A 3rd and next year's first could make it from 13 to 10, I'm sure. But I'm not sure I'd do that.

That is CRAZY! There is no way in heck you give up two #1s and a 3rd to move from 13 to 10. If that's the case, can we just move back from 13 to 16 and just take a 2nd? I'd be all for that.

I think he meant a #1 next year, a 3rd this year, and nothing else. I don't think the Bills would do that, but I think that's what he meant.

I can see us taking him if he's there at 13, but I don't see us trading up in this draft for anyone.

I'm hoping Ingram falls to us at 13. If not, I'm ok trading back and picking up a second or third round pick.

go Cards!!!

No, he has to mean this year's also since he said it would be enough to make it from 13 to 10. If it was simply a 3rd and next year's 1st then we would be adding the 10th pick, not moving up to it. Unless of course he misspoke.

He just said in NFL Network the Cards "love and covet" Michael Floyd and if he is still there at 10 they may move up to get him.
I've never quite understood the bible terminology. Teams may "want" or "hope to get" a specific player, but what's with the "covet?" Most people don't talk that way.

ha

its all part of the vaguely ********** draft talk this time of year Jeff

listen to Kiper or McShay or Mayock tonight: lots of talk about being tight or loose in the hips, having a thick build, or a solid "bubble" -- and my favorite from Mike Mayock during the combine on Andrew Luck: he had more explosion from the waist down than I expected.

I find it all a little weird

Covet? Bible terminology? People don't talk that way? You must know a lot of apes then, because covet is a basic word in today's vernacular, and I hear people use it all the time. And not the most verbose people either--normal, everyday people. Eh, our society has been severely 'dumbed down'.

I don't think he meant that since he said "move". But hey if you want to offer the Bills an unknown pick next year and a #3 this year, for a top 10 pick this year, sign me up. I have only seen a team trade a late round pick for a future number one when they had multiple picks in that round anyway.

The word "covet" was used many times in the movie, "The Silence of the Lambs" by the character Hannibal Lecter.

I have used it since in a joking manner with friends... like what do you covet?

See link below from movie quotes and do a control/ search on the keyboard to see how it was used in the film.

It is now just a fun word for me to use.

I have a beautiful neighbor. I use covet almost daily.

Whoa everyone, chill! I was just saying that's what I thought it would take to get it done, not that I would actually do it. And I guess rethinking it, I would say something more like this year's 3 and next year's 2.

But I still wouldn't do it for that price. I would, however, do it for a 5th and 7th.

Somehow 'covetousness' doesn't roll off my tongue.

Ain't gonna happen. We move down or stay put. That decision will be made seeing who is available close to our call. Most likely stay put.
