Skelton as the #2? Excellent. Lutui sits for Hadnot for now, as it should be. Schofield and Bradley had better unseat Porter and Lenon before the regular season. It would be excellent for Acho to overtake Haggans, as it would mean that Horton's comments really do presage great things for Acho.

Awesome, Tommy Irvin will be the #2 SS Thursday.

Kid from Wofford.

Surprised to see Marshay Green at #4 punt return behind Jefferson. Thought Marshay did a good job last pre season.

Peterson the backup on both returns teams? Hmmm...

Hall is the #4 QB? No matter how much swagger he has, I bet he isn't making the final cut for the 2011 roster.

Look for Wiz to keep throwing the rock as always!!! Kolb did the same at Stephenville & UH just the way our HC likes. :D I saw Kevin play 2 games in HS and I thought at the time this might be the Cards QB 1 day...never thought it would become a reality.

ATTN Fantasy Footballers: Don't draft Wells or Williams :D

Spach is one smart cookie, he is the backup long snapper which does improve his chances of making the team. He won't be kept for that reason in of itself but at he will be on RG's speed dial just in case.

Help out Texas homers, what other QB's in the NFL are from Texas.

LOL... I have them both, part of my bench, as of now I'm starting Arian Foster and Michael Turner.

Vince Young and Drew Brees come to mind right away.

But who cares if they don't play for Arizona. :D

As a Texan, gosh darn it I'm awful proud of them QBs :D

Remember this name: GJ Kinne, QB Tulsa

This will be the next Texas great to make a big name in the NFL. I went to school with his Dad & have followed him throughout his days at TU. He was originally a Horns recruit during Colt McCoys time in Austin...this kids a gunslinger & IMO a much better prospect than our own John Skelton. GJ will be a 2nd or 3rd rounder at the worst.

Hey my daughter just enrolled at Oklahoma State and they play Tulsa so I might get to watch him throw.

(Daughter majoring in Agriculture and no way she goes to a&m so the next best thing is OSU because they hate OU too.)

Well Young and Brees are the ying and yang of the position.

I'm just hoping we didn't corner a market (Texas QB's) that was a stinky market. :D

Good luck to your daughter!

Duck, watch this special E:60 on him recently...a tragedy that was avoided & seems to gonna have a great ending. I still remember watching the shooting play out on TV & how ceazy it was actually knowing it happen to someone I knew. Gary Joe was a great player I went to North Mesquite HS with & believe he played a year with the Raiders.

Hard to believe you haven't heard how good this kid is...he will ultimately go down as 1 of best players in TU's history. His comeback in South Bend last year was incredible!!!

Brees and Young have combined for 109 NFL wins. It would take the old Cardinals 20 years to win that many games. :p

Texas for years did not produce any real NFL QBs. One reason was the Wishbone but the main one was that until about 5 years ago you got fired as a High School Head Coach if you threw more than 5 passes in one game.

Of course you know that the Cardinals Rick McIvor was the only former Univ. of Texas QB to throw a pass in the NFL from Bobby Layne, 1962, to Chris Simms in 2004. 42 years.

Hard to believe that Layne is still the Lions all time leader in passing yards.

I see the team has four undrafted rookie FA tackles (Young, Vermiglio, Speredon and Mensik). Do any have a chance to make the 53 or at least the PS? And if so, who?

If you have a debilitating disease after being exposed to asbestos, radiological waste or a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader, you might want to give them a call.

DJ Young would be my guess along with Mensik. I would say practice squad. Young has alot of attitude, but will need alot of work on technique.
