Again, they've barely used him while he didn't fit their offense. That's the grey area. What can he actually do if used right. Of course, will we use him right? Especially behind our line. I don't know.

That said he barely played, his YPC of course can be skewed with almost no carries. It really is more like 13 months, not 3 years. 2016 and so far in 2017. In 2015 he had 1400+ yards and a 4.5 ypc. So might want to check your facts.

But he can also do blitz pickup and isn't slight of frame like AE and CJ.

Don't make my words out to be more then what I'm saying. He should help. We needed help. 2-3 is not a lost season. He's cheap. He's a roll of a dice.

Oh absolutely. At least management is showing the players they are trying to do something. I don't think this moves the needle at all though and I'm hoping it is a conditional pick. NO needed him out of there, they have two talented RBs and it was causing issues in their locker room.

There is absolutely no basis in fact with this statement and it's wishful thinking at its finest he is no better than CJ2K at this point....

AD is a powerful, bowling ball runner. CJ is a shifty, wait for the hole and hit it runner. There are no holes right now so IMO, we need a power back that can plow forward for at least something of yardage.

Its not because of his play they dropped him, it's because he didn't fit into Shawn Paytons scheme. He barley played and was upset about it.

Everybody in the NFL knew what kind of running back and system AP would best fit in long before they signed him yet they signed him anyway and now all of a sudden people think they dropped him because of the system? Yeah I'm not buying it...

Agree. I see a lot of vitriol towards the move on this thread, and signing AD may not do much, but at least we’re trying to win. We’re only 1 game out of first and play Seattle and LA four times total.

Why, it comes off as being out of touch with reality.

Even if by some miracle this team won the division it would get slaughtered in the first round.

This just smacks of hard core denial, if this costs anything more than a 7th round pick than perhaps it is time for a new gm.
