The Geritol gang has it's newest member!

If Peterson wasn't happy with his touches in NO and was not afraid to rip into Payton on the sidelines, I'm guessing we may actually see a fist fight between him and BA ala Buddy Ryan- Kevin Gilbride.

Might be the most entertaining thing we witness all year.

This reeks of a "hey, look over here" move by an organization that refuses to address the actual issues with the team.

AP has always played best when he’s had a chip on his shoulder. Everyone has written him off as washed up. Don’t be surprised if he does well. I’m a firm believer that a runner makes the Oline, not the reverse.

Yea 2 YEARS AGO... 1.9 ypc 2016 and 3.0 this year And the team that signed him is dumping him and trading him after paying him a nice signing bonus.... There is nothing you can point to that says he is still a quality running back...

13 months.

2016 37 carries
2017 27 carries

He was an afterthought. It was absolutely strange how Minny used him last year before his injury. They never let him get going and were actively going away from him before his injury.

This was after his amazing comeback 'miracle' 2015 season. Just doesn't make sense. Miracle to unusable in 8-9 months?

The Saints have a crowded backfield and went with younger blood. Kamara looks legit. Mark Ingram is good and their starter. There just isn't a role for him.

Again AE and CJ aren't AP's size. Penny wasn't cutting it. Or maybe we want to retool and keep Penny and AP and cut Foster.

I actually agree with you here...Kinda like good receivers can make a QB good.

No doubt this is an act of desperation, but we are in a weak division, so our hierarchy is pulling out all stops. I think BA has already told Michael that he’s hanging it up after this year. This is Michael doing whatever he can to thank BA a nice run here.

I think this had potential to be big. All we need is this year....if he can get us 70-75 yards a game even. He tore his ACL and ran for 2000 yards 7 months later....he is a freak of nature. He is hungry...he is hyped I bet to get another chance....he is a good blocker.....so what if it costs a 6th or 7th rounder....we have had good luck kicking the treads on old qbs ....if he is 70% of what he was....we win on this.

Um no, that is baloney. You can not run through a wall of people no matter how good you are.

A line has to give a back at least a 2 yard opening consistently, our line lets defenders into the backfield immediately consistently.

This is not going to work.

I'll tell you another guy on would go after who is not playing. But I think would. Darrell Revis. All he has to do is cover a 2 WR. .... Or id trade for a good CB.

Drafting a CB that only played CB for 1 year(& he wasn’t even good that 1 year) in the 3rd round is damn near pinkslip worthy. Should’ve seen the writing on the wall when it comes to Keim’s Scouting. I still can’t get over that pick.

Many on this board rightfully have said that we are boring & bad. There was no reason to watch this team at all. I, for one, will tune in next week to see a future HOF running back. People can say what they want about Emmit Smith here in the desert, but the dude ran for 1000 yards & was exciting at times.

So our yards per carry will go up to 3.0! Lol

Can he really help behind this atrocious Oline who can't open a hole for an ant! Ugh

Does he even fit into this throw it first offense?

Time will tell. I guarantee you that just having AP line up behind CP, will prevent defenses from coming at Palmer guns a blazing
