All? Come on you know better than that.

I hear your going price for a photo is a beer. I would like to get one with you next season.

OK, I'm pretty sure some spots are locked up, you got me there.

As far as getting my photo, I want to go on record as saying I only charged Steelers' fans, and yes, one beer was my price. (those Super Bowl beers were not cheap). I have never charged any Cardinals fan for taking my pic. :D

Maybe, just maybe...after getting to the Superbowl and winning the NFC championship...maybe we should forget our past (just for once)...we got McFadden, Warner resigned no matter what happened in the chain of events, Boldin is still under contract and there to trade if the FO sees it best

maybe, we should dare I say TRUST GRAVES AND WHIS

maybe we should and for now put this inferior complex of ours out the window...maybe I should quit my Early Doucet fan club...nahhhhh, it is too fun

way to GO Graves, Whis and yes...the Bidwills

Peace-Jet

:doi:

Just kidding.

Good post.

Agent Drew is very shrewed. I read where he was holding out for a short-term deal so that McFadden would be an FA in 2 years (after proving the broken arm didn't affect anything) and would then want big $.

I'm certain that's the plan. Good job by him for his client.

But here's the thing...

Cards benefit from that for the next couple of years.

Works for me.

Only two years?? Hmmm... wonder if things were different if a) the economy were better and b) the nfl was going through CBA issues with an uncapped year

The Cardinals should be a preferred destination for FAs with the new stadium, a good coaching staff, a nice location like Phoenix and the Cardinals coming off a SB appearance.

Well-- last year at this time, the top three corners were:

#1 Hood
#2 Eric Green
#3 unproven DRC

now

#1 DRC
#2 McFadden
#3 Hood

a significant upgrade in 12 months

Mcfadden is better than Hood. Rod's best play came in Philly as a nickleback. Im glad he'll be returning to that role. It became clear in games last yr that teams would target Hood. We heard about Vikings coaches and Eagles coaches doing it

Hood was statiscally a top 5 corner in 2007 for the Cards.

250k workout bonus. Interesting and a good idea that the rest of the league is starting the use. Its the first time we have used one higher then 25k.

Awesomeness. Now lets keep the momentum moving with a long snapper.:D

But really, Wright is still out there and the market is set since Igor got his deal with the cowboys(4.5 per year) and Wright should sign for less which should be pretty cheap and fit perfectly into our plans of what I am now deeming for the Cards plans as "right priced free agents".

One didn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see what was happening in those games and yes in the big game as well. When he has to go 1/1 he is in trouble...as a situational db he will be okay.

Which is the only way to travel, particularly this year with an average or less group....general rule of thumb---don't get too excited about free agency as it is vastly over-rated in football. If one has interest in the NBA (ugh) it sort of works for teams to buy their way into top tier, but generally speaking it is not so in the NFL

A very good signing. I guess Graves is working after hall.Sarcasm! Next will be Dansby or Wilson.

Good job Cards. Now REALLY surprise me and extend Dansby and sign Mike Wright.

I also think the killing of Hood is unfair. He is a legit #2 corner and has played well more often then not.

But this is how great teams become great. You take a strength and make it even stronger.

Makes me wonder since such a priority was placed on McFadden if we are going to be putting the corners on islands alot more and pick up the blitzing. I would have thought we would have been more active around LB's personally....

This makes he happy. This guy was the best I expected out of free agency and we got him on a very reasonable contract. Now, if we can get a little depth for the front 7, we can focus on the draft.

Great signing. I very much like our secondary now.

But, the fact it's two years means (to me) we should not overlook CBs in the draft if they're the BPA. JMHO

Solid signing!!!! McFadden shouldn't be handed the starting role though. He should have to win it fair and square. It's going to be fun to watch the competition at training camp.

surprised the Cards got him, good signing. I was getting scared that they were going to keep basically status quo whne there is still room for improvement on the team. Bring in Mike Peterson, the DE from NE, and an OL, and the free agency period will be a great success.

Mike Wright...

He's the DE from New England right? I want him plus Mike Peterson, the LB released by Jax. Peterson is older but he's got a couple good years still left in him. I don't think the Cards will look at him.I just hope they do.
