Seattle is losing today 24-7. They lost to SF 33-17. To Pittsburgh 24-0.

And we could only score 10 points on them?

Why not start a catch-all thread for everyone who just posts Whiz needs to go. For cryin out loud, how about holding the players accountable? Kolb has played like absolute crap the first half. There was bad holding call on Levi that was a huge play in that half. Joey Porter need to be ebnched. That I will put on the staff becuase they keep putting him out there.

That holding call was a total makeup call the prior play they called roughing on a guy who never even touched Kolb. they either called the wrong number or they called it for leading with the head, but he missed Kolb completely.

So I think that evened out.

The redzone offense has been bad and Kolb needs to calm down, but again it would sure help if Levi and Keith could block for longer than a second.

How about holding the knucklehead accountable who assembled this group of players?

How can you evaluate anyone when the whole sucks so bad?

I don't know if Kolb can ever play or not, I do know humans have fear and it will ruin anyone's day and fear is sometimes and I would say in this case, justified.

I think we all know who is really running the show. Ken Whisenhunt has had carte blanche since he got here. From Levi Brown to Ryan Williams

This team is still suffering from Warner withdrawal, ESPECIALLY in the red zone. Kolb is significantly better than anything we had last year, but he's not ready to lead a team into the playoffs. His pocket presence is below average. I would love to see him step up in the pocket & find one of those WIDE OPEN receivers 20 yards down the field. I understand our OL sucks at times, but there were other times when they gave him ample time & he rolls right & throws the ball out of bounds. A couple of more games like this & I'll be calling for Skelton. At least he had good presence in the pocket.

I don't agree we're suffering from Warner withdrawal. He wasn't here that long, it's not like we were perennial winners as soon as he arrived. I totally agree however that Kolb is really skittish and missing wide open guys running down the field. It's not often you can even see that as obvious as it is on TV, but in this case, several times today, it was obvious even on TV that he was missing wide open guys. He needs to calm down, because the O line isn't playing as poorly as he is right now.

I thought the same thing, about it being PP's fault. He's not as good in zones, but when they let him play M2M with bump coverage he's all over the dudes outside shoulder and knocking him off stride. He's amazingly big and physical for a CB. A few of those in-completions were due to him smashing his man at the line of scrimmage and throwing off his timing with Manning. I've been really impressed so far--I thought he was doing well already, for a rook, but today is an indication of what he has to offer. I'm hopeful.

Yeah it's not his fault we want to play zone. He nearly picked that one over the middle where he tipped it up in the air against Nicks.

He's going to be a star, I just wish we had some more like him.

Draft OT's and the LSU defense.

Yes but we have had 2nd and 1 4 times in the first half and Whiz agrees or calls a pass play everytime. We have yet to convert 1 of those first downs. Get the first down which builds confidence and continuity. WHiz is notorious to throw on 2nd and 1...Yes it worked with a hall of famer in Warner...it has yet to work in the last 2 years. Change your strategy. Whiz never does...hence we look pathetic no matter who we have playing.

Then why have a GM?

Just let your coach nuke your roster, leave and rebuild again with blind trust in another guy, rinse and repeat for eternity.

It's amazing how often LSU puts out a good defensive product.

These players have no balls, no pride, no inner fire. Piss poor execution IMO & that can't happen from a less talented team

I was thinking that too but the NFL doesn't really do the "make-up call" like the NBA. At least I didn't think they did.

That play PP21 made in the endzone was just classic pass defense. I just hope he doesn't get Cardinals disease and give up starting to count the days until he can become a free agent..

Kolb has 10 starts and is new to the team in a short offseason. What's Whis' excuse?

The 49ers...are using a QB everyone has laughed at. A NEW COACH and NEW scheme though...has made the difference. Their offense is averaging 24+ points a game!!! And Smith looks decent. Whiz stinks.

No doubt now that we have SERIOUS issues on offense & I have to point the finger of blame at Kolb. If he doesn't show some improvement in the next couple games, I will have to question whether he'll ever be the guy.
