Now that the HC and GM are in place here is my off the hip quick shot at the Cardinals Offseason plan:

Resign the following FAs:

1) CB Byron Murphy
2) DE Zach Allen
3) OG Will Hernandez

Target the Following UFAs in March:

1) CB James Bradberry - Eagles
2) DT Dalvin Tomlinson - Vikings
3) Edge Carlos Dunlop - Chiefs
4) DT Linval Joseph - Eagles
5) C Ethan Pocic - Browns
6) OG Nate Davis - Titans
7) RB Alexander Mattison - Vikings

Pre-Combine Mock Draft:

Round 1: Edge - Will Anderson - Ala
Round 2: NT - Mazi Smith - Mich
Round 3: C - Luke Wypler - OSU
Round 3(Comp): RB - Devon Achane - Tex A&M
Round 4: S - Brandon Joseph - ND

Looks great! How will we pay for it?

I think we're going to draft a lot of offensive linemen and throw them all on the field right away. Sink or swim style. Let em learn from their mistakes, use the game film to help teach technique

Sign three different back up QBs for the season because it's going to be ugly

Then after the season, after Kyler is back to 100% mobility, draft even more linemen and sign a couple in free agency

I mean, if we're able to re-sign Allen/Murphy, and rebuild our defensive/offensive lines in the same offseason, I'll be pleased as punch!

Bradberry will be the pricey signing:

Then some mid tier signings:

Everyone else on my list is an older player who can be had for a reasonable price.

Remember the market value is the average per year and a lot of the costs can be back loaded into 2025 and 2026 so that the cap hit for 2023 is much less.

Yea, we shouldn’t be signing anyone over the age of 31.

Mattison is going to get a huge starting deal somewhere, IMO. I don't see him as an option.

The Free Agent RB class is stacked this year. Not to mention this year has a very deep Rookie RB class. Teams are not going to spend big money on Mattison this year.

Well, at least we don't have to worry about Gannon becoming entangled with and distracted by the likes of KK's girlfriend....

Also, I love his intensity. Hopefully, that will carry over to the players.
I was being a smarta** about the video cutting out on him, wasn’t serious.

CARDS: 48 under contract: Cap space: $13,587,247

Anderson (cut): $12m
DHop (restructure): $9.1m (trade: $8.1m)
Baker (restructure): $6.8m
Ertz (restructure): $3.8m
Hump (restructure): $2.8m
Connor (restructure): $2.5m

Cap space: $50,007,926

Additionally, a new deal for Hollywood will reduce his $13.4 cap hit.

All kinds of ways to create Cap space.

It's all in the structure.

No worries, I wasn't commenting on your sense of humor, but the contrast between him and Kliff was striking.

If I had the time to photo shop, I would take Gannon's head and put it on one of those shots of Kliff chilling in his sweet home.

Mattison is only 24, has very little wear and tear on him, and looks great on film. Josh Jacobs and Saquon probably aren't going anywhere. Pollard and Penny are majorly hurt. Kareem Hunt is old.

Mattison's not gonna play anywhere he won't be the starter.

It’s pretty lazy to look at they guys’ old teams and decide we need their free agents.

When the Hawks signed Pete Carroll, many here were like, “He gonna sign all the Trojans Durr durr” and he didn’t sign any of them.

It’s probably a bad sign if your front office thinks that the best guys available are the ones they already knew. Bring in the camp fodder if you need someone familiar.
