It's relevant since the discussion is about searching for a backup QB. If Kyler is not going to be durable/reliable, we're going to need a really good backup if we want to stay competetive.

Dear Lord. Really? When you have a transcendent do it ALL QB like Murray, there’s always the risk he may have an ankle sprain here and there. That Carolina D is legit no matter who’s behind center. That loss is on both KK & VJ. What the hell is KK thinking when he goes for it on a 4th down in OUR territory, when we’re down 7-0 & our stud QB isn’t playing?? And VJ is a poor DC for not emphasizing a stop the run 1st approach against a team starting the best RB in the NFL? If Carolina had Murray, they’d be undefeated.

We lucked out that the bye is coming at the perfect time for us this year. With the Rams losing to the 49ers, even a loss to the Seahawks wouldn't be catastrophic. Be nice to get a win though.

the Rams are struggling and they have Stafford playing, not searching the league's practice squads looking to find a QB.

You don't need to call Cleveland...just his agent and offer to sign him to roster.

OT: @Crimson Warrior Kyler was trying to transfer to Texas after leaving A&M. However, Shane was a big reason they said no.

Wow, I had never heard the Murray wanted to transfer first to UT! And then Buechele ends up at SMU anyway. Man UT has had terrible luck with QBs since Colt McCoy graduated.

It's always a mystery to me when a coach just loves him a QB who sucks. It's not just KK, it happens all over the league. Strev must just light it up in practice or something, it's a real head scratcher why he's on the roster.

Mullens success was a product of Shanahan's system

Here's one example of his pre season in Philly

Sign Trace McSorley from Baltimore. He is a capable runner who would actually fit this offense. Decent passer who can fill a game or two. Definitely better than Streveler.

Problem is if you sign someone off of a PS you have to put them on your 53. That's for the rest of the season I do believe. So in doing so your giving up a roster spot for the rest of the season.

You would have to replace strev at this point. He has had a couple chances and has failed miserably. Re add him to the practice squad if they must and elevate him on game weeks . And that’s if your wanting to be able to use him on any specific packages, haven’t seen any of those result in anything good either though.
