CB Will Johnson dropped to #16 in my simulation, so had multiple teams wanting to trade up. Traded with the Steelers and then used the extra 2nd rounder to move back into the 1st.

Got two solid pieces for the front 7. A RT, a speed WR, a development QB and just choose BPA with the last pick that will add depth to the OL

I like that draft. Hits a lot of needs and we could possibly push Rivers to OG....and Will Howard right there could be a steal and a sneaky good pick

Traded back in the 2nd and picked up a 3rd.

Was too hard to pass up Membou after yesterday. I'm not repeating the Wirfs mistake.

Luckily the board fell my way after that, even though I think some o fthese guys are gone by these spots.

I double dipped at DL and Edge. Other spots can be filled in FA. I'm thinking Pappoe can even start at LB being a much more solid D line.

First time trying it and I got this. Um, yes? I’d take this insanely one-sided deal in a heartbeat.

Here’s how it landed. Mind you, I don’t know ANY players past the first 50 or so, so a lot of this is just by position. Walking away with Williams and Dart would be fantastic and who wouldn’t draft Cobee? Just the name is going to sell jerseys :D

My work started blocking PFN for some reason, but here's my mock on NFL Mock Draft Database. I'm not sure on how the players fit our specific scheme to know if they are great fits or not, but was trying to match need with their board when the picks came up.

PFN's simulator is trash. I find the Mock Draft Database to be the best.

Mike Renner picked Walter Nolen for us in the CBS Sports draft today. "Perfect fit for the weakest position group as a solid run defender who put up 6.5 sacks last season".
I love it.

This is what is fascinating about this draft and the good news for Monti.

While not the greatest draft overall, the draft is CRAZY deep in the 2nd tier of players at DT, Edge and OL, which is exactly the biggest needs of the team

NFL's DJ has 24 of the top 100 players at DL. PFF estimated that the number of DL/Edge usually going in the 20-50 range is 2-3 times bigger this year

PFF is also pretty good

The problem with PFF I find is that they heavily incorporate their own grades and it gives some weird results. There will be guys universally mocked top 20 that they will have at 40.

The reason I like NFL Mock Draft Database is they use an aggregate for dozens of big boards to give a consensus.

You can adjust that.
Several levers:
consensus vs. Pff
Degree of positional value
Drafting for need or BPA

I traded back with the Rams and picked up a couple 2025 picks along with a 2026 2nd rounder.

From there I went Heavy on the interior of the lines on both sides of the ball but I only picked through round 5:

I actually prefer this one better as the Cardinals address more positions.

Still Trade back in the 1st but not as far:
