It's fine with me. The less hype the better, IMO. And actually, this is one of the reasons why it's so hard for team to get back to the Super Bowl, is getting caught up in the hype.

Here's a picky thing that always bugs me:

The NFL always refers to the Bears-Packers series as the oldest rivalry in pro football. Well, it might have the highest number of games played between two teams, but it's not the oldest. The Cardinals-Bears series started in 1920; the Bears-Packers series started in 1921. The Bears were the Decatur Staleys in 1920 (as a founding member of the American Professional Football Association - the original name of the NFL), became the Chicago Staleys in 1921, and then renamed to the Chicago Bears in 1922.

Green Bay was a semi-pro team in 1919; however, they didn't begin play in the NFL until 1921. The (Chicago) Cardinals and Decatur Staleys played twice in 1920 - the Cards won the first meeting 7-6 at Normal Park, and the Staleys won the second meeting 10-0 at Wrigley Field.

I thought that maybe our game against Indy would make Monday night on opening weekend. Lots of points, Warner vs. manning, ----

But, honestly, since I go to home games, I'm fine with it. It's a bitch to make Monday night kickoff times.

My thoughts exactly. No home night games. Ever.

Brace yourselves. The Cardinals will likely have three night games this season.

Yeah, I think they will too. I just hope for more Sunday night or Saturday night games. Traffic is much more manageable than Monday or Thursday. For any night game, I don't like getting home so late, full of adrenalin, and then trying to get up at 5 for work. but,.... that's okay. doesn't happen often.

I am glad we are not in the primetime spot either. I don't want Dockett, Rolle, Dansby, and others getting used to stardom. Divas will not be welcome.

With Sunday Ticket I will watch the game live even if it is at 3am.

Get ready, Kornholio will be coming to town. Bet on it!!! He has probably already called the NFL office to let them know he has to rip them nationally at least once.

Screw the NFL... Isn't pretty much SOP to have the two SB participants from previous season to open up to a Primetime game?

come on, it was a mistake we even got there the media said so and said it all year.

Excellent. Beat me to it.

I like it. I like football played on Sunday afternoons. Happy to see we will be playing on Sunday afternoon to start off the season.

If we do have some prime time games, hopefully they are at night.

As for Kick off weekend & Turkey Day ? Good. Happy to not be on the schedule.

I see the Pats will open up on Monday night.......the media should get some chap stick and mouth wash for that one.

reason they have Oak in slot one is that they know anyone with a football mind will watch any team on opening week.

ignorant choice....who gives a dang about Oak and Cable...their offense sucks and their defense is good. San Diego is on the downswing...BORING

Yea...I heard he is bringing Farve with him so he doesn't have to mention his name so many times.

CBS has a lot to say about that. If that game is in the second half of the season during the flex scheduling period for SNF, CBS will probably make Arizona/Indy one of their protected games.
