Especially the Cardinals. We always seem to have an injury to one of our DB's. So depth is important for us.I heard an interview with KW at the Open this weekend and he made a comment "can never have too many quality DB's"...FWIW
And as the article also pointed out, the starters were shakey at times during the season. The depth is limited or just plain bad. I look for it to be addressed in the 2nd round and maybe again soon after for a saftey.Especially the Cardinals. We always seem to have an injury to one of our DB's. So depth is important for us.
You don't have to read that article to realize that we have trouble brewing at CB. Just look at the past season, and the number of pass plays we gave up and the number of points off the pass.
The problem is that we are going to be so thin up the middle of our defense, that we NEED to address that before we add to cornerback. That probably means taking one inside linebacker in FA, and taking another AND a nose tackle with two of our first three picks. That doesn't bode well for restocking corners and OLB's anytime early in the draft.
