In terms of 1st round options at DL, I am settling on Mason Graham, Walter Nolen, and Kenneth Grant as my only preferred options. Nolen needs to bulk a bit and Grant needs to answer pass rush questions, but I think they all three have really high ceilings. There are some other players I like later, but not in round 1.

I kinda like Saiivion Jones from LSU in the 4th or so.
4-3 DE that can play inside...decent run stuffer.. lots of physical traits, but raw as a fresh caught fish...but he has a strong bull rush which would compliment Robinson and whatever OLB we draft

its real progress to go from bottom feeder to competitive.

but the NFL's gravitational pull is towards 8-9 or 9-8

far more progress is necessary to go from 8 to 12 wins than needed to go from 4 to 8.

The FO has its work cut out for it
I agree. Significantly harder to go from 8 to 12, but difficulty of schedule comes into play also. Two years ago the Texans went from 4-12 wins mainly because they played one of the easiest schedules ever. They played a tougher schedule in 2024, and they didn’t look nearly as good. And some people pointed the finger of blame towards Stroud. Bottom line, strength of schedule does matter. The problem is that it’s way too soon to say that our schedule will be easier this year.
