then why haven't we interviewed ANY of them? Urban has said in his blog comments that we've had no interviews since Manusky.

Well according to Jay Glazer we have tried but have been rebuffed by a few. :(

Who would want to coach a so-called 3-4 without the 2 most critical pieces...2 OLB's & not a whole lot of talent at LB period? I can't blame any potential DC turning us down.

Let's say for example one of our candidates was the Giants DB coach. If our #1 candidate is Butler, there isn't any reason to interview our fall back options until we know Butler wouldn't be coming.

No reason to get bent out of shape at this time.

Now I won't be happy if we don't get someone with some promise.

nobody knows and anybody on this board that says that they do, doesn't

Can someone ask Glazer the follow up question: Why?
I'd like specifics.
I would say there's nothing to that report. Cards interviewed Manusky and he went to SD. Maybe they sent out feelers on Mora and McDermott and they wanted to look elsewhere. No big deal. Mora doesn't like the Cards anyway. Plus word travel quickly in coaching circles. I'm sure the candidates know the Cards are going to wait on Butler and he is their #1 choice. Why would a qualified guy wait around when there are other openings to look at?

That was Manusky and the un-named second interview we were supposed to have but never happened. Jay Glazer did not give us any new information. Glazer doesnt even know who that second guy was.

They could all still be in the playoffs and we cant talk to them until Monday, even if they will be in the Super Bowl we can still talk to them according to rules and the two week layoff until the Super Bowl.

Besides Butler the two other rumored names as possibilities are Mike Trgovac(packers DL coach) and Ray Horton (Pitt DB coach).

Please rephrase. It's convoluted.

For the Canadians in the audience:

1) If the coaches are still coaching in the playoffs, the Cardinals cannot talk to them until Monday, after the games.

2) If the coaches are coaching teams in the Super Bowl, the Cardinals can still talk to them, according to NFL rules, during the two week layoff leading up to the Super Bowl.

Thanks.

Hadn't heard Trgovac mentioned. I would love him as our DC.
