i'm not sure what the exact rule is but it looked like aw used his shoulder on the hit.....i thought it was only a penalty if you used your helmet.

From my POV it was obvious that he led into the tackle with his shoulder.

Get off Adrian's back.. the guy made an explosive hit on Heap tryin to knock the ball out and keep Baltimore from setting up the winning FG... Moreover, if u watch the replay it was CLEAN!!

It's awfully foolish to dog the guy for making a clean hard blow on a huge TE tryin to knock the ball out..

The refs blew it

I saw the replay and his forearm made contact with Heap's helmet. It was a dumb mistake by him. I still love the guy, but he made a mistake there.

It was a completely clean hit.
Cardinals will be in the playoffs this year. Write it down folks, it'll happen.

I guess Wilson's reputation as a punishing hitter will get these kind of calls. If we play the Ravens in the Super Bowl you can bet Heap will remember!

You are absolutely wrong. It was his shoulder hitting Heap in the shoulder. It was a good clean hit. Much more so than the one Lewis threw on our TE. The refs handed the game to our opponent one more time.

No they didnt. they were moving the ball freely down the field regardless of that penalty. That game was over before the call.

Baloney, they would never have gotten in field goal range without that penalty. It was a BS call. Once again, the refs decide the outcome.

Well, since we can't change the call, we'll never know, but I'd be willing to bet that the defense would have stopped them. We had it going our way and they weren't getting enough yards to get there. Their kicker hasn't kicked anything over 47 yards for years. It would have ended in a tie and we would have won in OT.

Totally agree.

It was a bogus call that the home teams get.

I don't think it was just about us or hating on the Caridnals I think it was a homer type call.

The sad thing is the NFL touts hits just like that in highlight reels all the time, it's a large amount of BS is what it is.

As per usual, the refs decide the Cardinals are not worth the benefit of the doubt.

They expect the Cards to be losers, so they call them like losers...Its total freaking crap!

But with that said, the Cards made some huge mistakes today that prevented them from winning more than that bull crap call.

This franchise needs to lear how to actually play 4 qtrs. of football so they don't leave the game in the hands of the consciously or uncounsciously biased refs.

Did anyone else think that the refs also missed the pass interference on Johnson in the endzone on the final play of the Cards last drive?

The defender held his hands down. Never looked back at the ball. Johnson was able to finally get his hands free but the ball bounced off his pads.

Great defenses always get away with cheating. It's part of what makes them great. Maybe if the Cards keep playing hard (slightly dirty), calls like the one against AW won't happen. Maybe we will start getting the Ray Lewis no calls.

At the time it happened I thought it was for sure pass interference.

I bet AW doesn't get fined by the NFL this week for that hit after they look at the replays.

1. Whisenhunt will win here.
2. This defense will suddenly look and play better if we can get a decent lead.
3. Leinart looks scared.
4. No moral victories. We lost the way we always have. Same 'ole Cards.
5. Bryant Johnson will not be here next year.

well we werent good the 1st half thats for sure but the 2nd half we were amazing thanks to warner I wish it was leainart who did that because hes our future qb but oh well. But overall they played much better then I thought they would in Baltimore wish the outcome was different but the cardinals showed a lot of heart tonight almost beating a superbowl caliber team in their stadium

Actually, Same Ol Cards would have turned the 23-6 deficit into 43-9 final score. How often did "SOC" come back on one of the best defenses in the league, on the road, and damn near force OT?

Last year against the Vikings? Well that was only a half of a best defense in the league.
