Wouldn't mind seeing another Washington sign here (Deandre)...if the price is right.

This probably brings the Cards down to 12 million in cap range.

They could get 1 more player, even a good one. A couple of extensions and they have ample room.

Yes, but some are very young and it would be silly to count on them too much.
Murray
Miles
Toth

Agreed. I don't see how we go into a season with these 3 OT's.

Miles/Toth will probably battle it out for 1 spot (if that).

Agreed 1 will go to the practice squad and 1 will be the 2nd depth.

I was thinking there is no room for AQ anymore. No matter what probably just taking 1 OL in the draft

Yeah...you can head into the draft with this and then look to sign a vet on the market if you don't grab a RT early.

This is a pretty accurate thought. It is easy to forget that we have young, developmental players on our roster already. What we lack is top end talent. IMO, we are likely to take an OL high or not at all. I don't see anyone in round 5 who would beat out anyone we have for a spot at this point in time.

You are correct there but we have already seen average salaries are being pushed forward like Campbells $6 million deal being $2 million.

I would love to see the final numbers but as I have said from the beginning cap is not an issue with this team at all. Easy to get whatever money they need.

Do the Cards really have that much.

Looking at OTC and Spotrac they say $14M in cap space but that doesn't include the following contracts:

  • Jordan Phillips (reported 3yrs $30M)
  • Devon Kennard (reported 3yrs $20M)
  • All of the guys we recently re-signed
  • rookie pool

It does include the rookie pool. It's in the equation.

Could Garcia potentially be our starting C replacing Shipley, so Cole can continue to swing at G/C? I know he did so pretty successfully for Denver in the past.
