Elliot Brown was just signed by the Cards. He was an Edge at Virginia. He couldn’t get a decent US opportunity, so he signed with the CFL. His first year was mostly adjustment, but in year 2 he exploded. Brown recorded 8 sacks and was named to the all star team. His CFL team didn’t even attempt to retain him as they were certain he move to the NFL. He’s still raw by NFL standards, but he shows promise. He figures to be a 2 year project if he develops at all. His final year in college he managed 3 sacks and 5 TFL. He ran 4.60 with 23 reps at his Pro Day.

8 Canadian sacks.. that's like 5 sacks in the U.S.!
8 sacks playing for the Edmonton Elks is a damn miracle. I think they had 22 game losing streak@ home like 2 years back or something lmao

Edit: I remember meeting some players @ work from Elks. Got a signed football from them and threw it straight in trash when back in office lol

There’s our big FA splash signing. Lol
Wouldn’t be surprised if Monti is done with the edge signings

I look forward to Walter's article on how he'll be the next superstar Edge.

I can see why they signed him. Very versatile. Edmonton used him a lot off the ball and in coverage too.

He's quick for his size and has a spin move in his bag. Lightweight guy though, maybe 240lbs, 245 tops.

The kind of upside guy you want to bring into camp.

Great story. I remember the first time I went to Edmonton. I drove up from Calgary just see the sights. Didn’t see many! I was surprised by the big shopping centers anchored by many US retailers.
