Sorry....

He's objectively better than Tune.
So many of you missed my “not necessarily” line. The point I was trying to make was that ALL that matters is that Brissett has the experience we absolutely have to have going into a season where the floor is a playoff position. But, let’s be honest, any long term injury to Murray ends our season. But, that applies to almost any NFL team.

Hmmm. Does an injury to Murray really end our season? Lol!

Very meh at that price. If you paid attention to last season, Brissett was terrible to watch. I get that his team sucked but just watch the tape and he was terrible.

5 starts last season, 103 yards/game.

2 TDs, 1 int, 1 fumble lost. 59 completion %.

This just smells like a Pretzel signing and that sucks because he's a mediocre OC with no imagination in the passing game.

This will add some fun to the season. How long before we are screaming for Brissett to start?
I’d say by game 3! Lol!
Have you seen Brissett play of late lol. If he has to play for any extended period of time, it’ll be our running game & D that will have to drag us over the finish line. Can be done, but it won’t be pretty.

One of Brissetts best seasons was under Petzing when he played for Cleveland. So there is familiarity there
Worth remembering how trash that “best season” was:

Absolutely fine with this. He is better than Tune.

Is he, though? Based on what?

going into a season where the floor is a playoff position

“Daniel Jones has upside” is pretty hysterical. He’s also in year 7 now. And has been utter crap. What upside does he actually possess?
A history of winning a playoff game? More than any QB on this roster can say.

Just being snarky- but I’d take Daniel jones over brissett for sure- I think that would give you the best chance to win a game should Kyler need to miss time.

I'm not mad about the signing. Some people wanted Brissett here as the bridge starter before Kyler came back.

I am mad that the only thing we have to talk about on Day 2 of Monti's allegedly aggressive offseason is the signing of a backup QB.

Jacoby has been ass even for backup QB standards the past few years.
