Did I say he was "better"?
I don't think he's a wash either. White has shown to be a more competent starter than both. White played more snaps thane any other player on our D last year, and trying to replace him with career special teamers seems like an odd choice, especially considering we have plenty of money to spend.

I like Kyzir. But if you look at Walkers stats from Atlanta he is much more than a special teamer

One year not as a special teamer on a bad defense, and he immediately left to go to another team. I'm not even seeing state tv try to sell him as a starter, vs some people trying to make the argument that Davis Gaither qualifies.

I know this is the day where you're unloading a bunch of terrible takes, but him starting 12 games for the 27th ranked defense in the NFL shouldn't get you hot and bothered.

He played 77 total defensive snaps last season.

I'm not all hyped on the guy. I just do not think we will see a drop off in production from the position.
Call it, faith in the defensive staff to coach him up to at least whites level.
When you add in the new NT, less should be required from the position than last year.

not because he played at UCLA but one guy I'd have loved to sign was Eric Kendricks. I know he's 33 but for 3 million I think Dallas got a great deal and I think he can still play

Dude has had 5 years of what should be good-great coaching with Amarulo (a dude many in here wanted as HC) in Cincinnati. Haven't the Bengals usually had a very strong LB crew? Maybe he just couldn't crack the starting lineup. So is it really a shock that JG and Rallis may see something in him? He could end up being just meh, or he could end up being Lorenzo Alexander.

Thread for reference. A few jokes about another ILB, but it appears from the first 3 pages, it was an ok to decent signing.

That's what I anticipated. White came in with a much better resume, and ended up with more snaps on our D than any other player. Davis Gaither as a starter is a bold move.

I’m hearing the Cards do anticipate him to start.
Howard Balzer was on the radio last night and he speculated that the Cardinals informed Kyzir White in the Season End Exit Interview that they intended to move on from him and essentially get younger at the position. Hence why White posted the goodbye on social media and why the Cardinals signed a younger more athletic ADG.

I'm still concerned about losing White's leadership and physical style of play if that is the case. I felt White was the tone setter on the defense. However I was pleasantly surprised with the quick ascension of Mack Wilson. Wilson was a much bigger playmaker than White last season. We can only hope ADG has a similar ascension this year if he is slated to take White's starting role.

Not that upset about losing White. Am a little disappointed about the apparent replacement.
