im saying their window isn't closed - until those two are gone the whiners aren't done - im saying their combined brains both secure and utilize optimal talent - something we don't do
Yeah. I think it's a little early to throw dirt on the grave of the 49ers.

Shanahan sure seems like the real deal; I don't know how great Lynch is. Part of the reason they're in transition right now is some draft classes that struggled.

They were 2-6 last seasons in games decided by a TD or less. 7.4 expected wins according to PFR.

Man, I tell ya, it seems the general thinking on here about Shanahan seems to have taken a 180° turn lately. I can remember people talking about how bad a coach he was/used to be. Not much good was said about his coaching. At least that's the way I remember it.

I am happy to see that people didn't keep their heads in the sand on this one.

Agree. Not yet.

But the roster have a number of aging high paid players and Purdy is going to command 55M-ish taking a huge portion of the cap.

Purdy's contract are going to give issues to retain a competitive roster and then comes the replacing the best players over the next couple of years.

The window is closing.

People say this about every QB who signs an extension and it’s NEVER true

A reworked deal for Deebo in DC: the Commanders are guaranteeing $17 million of Deebo Samuel’s previously non-guaranteed salary for this season, along with adding another $3 million worth of incentives, per sources. Samuel now will play this season on a one-year deal worth up to $20 million, including $17 million guaranteed.Samuel’s agent Tory Dandy and Commanders GM Adam Peters negotiated the deal.
